The National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) will conduct a Diwang: Sagisag Kultura Competition on the following categories with specified number of participants: 1. Leksiyong Sagisag Kultura for Teachers - (1) per in any subject area particulary MAPEH 2. Sagisag Kultura Rap for elementary Pupils - (5) pupils (Grade V-VI) 3. Sagisag Kultura Kwiz for Secondary Students - (1) Secondary Student 2. Attached are the Mechanics, Schedule of Competitions, Prizes, Criteria and Application forms for the different categories. 3. The contents of the competitions are found on the CD, which were given to the Division MAPEH/ Cultural Coordinators during the meeting of all MAPEH/ Cultural Coordinators last September 12, 2013 at the Applied Nutrition Center (ANC) Banilad Cebu City. 4. All Division MAPEH and Cultural Coordinators should review the contents of the CD and identify the Icons or Heroes, Places, Food, Plants that are found in the Philippines which will be the source of the competitions in Leksyong Sagisag Kultura Contest ng mga Guro, Sagisag Kultura Rap Contest for Elementary Pupils, and Sagisag Kultura Kwiz Contest for Secondary Students. 5. The content of Sagisag Kultura in Rap will focus on the Icons, Heroes, Places, Plants, Food, Handicraft, Industry and Products that are found in Region VII, while the content of Sagisag Kultura Kwiz will focus on the entire Philippines. 6. Participants of Sagisag Kultura Ng Filipinas are the Secondary School Teachers who are teaching in any subject area and scholars sponsored by NCCA. They are required to make a detailed Lesson Plan in any of the subject areas that are actually taught to the students and pupils. T he R e g i o nl a Competitio n will be on Octobe r, at the Applied Nutrition Center (ANC) Banilad, Cebu City, while the Regional Cluster Competition for Regions VI, VH, and VIII will be on November 23, 2013 at the DepEd Ecotech Center, Sudlon Lahug Cebu City. The competition for the National Level will be on December 7, 2013 inmalolos Bulacan. 9. Participants who will qualify for the Regional Level Competition will have to pay a Registration fee of Seven Hundred Fifty Pesos ( P ) for 1 day board and lodging and venue, chargeable against S c h o o l, Division/ Local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. First meal will be breakfast of October 11, 2013 at 7 : 0 A.M. Traveling expenses and other incidental expenses related to the activity are chargeable against School, Division MOOE /Local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 10. 12 DIWANG: SAGISAG KULTURA NG FILIPINAS at NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR CULTURE AND THE ARTS Sub-Commission on Cultural Dissemination Competition PRIMER PARA SA KOMPETISYONG PANG GURO Ang DIWANG: SAGISAG KULTURA NG FILIPINAS ay institutional flagship project ng NCCA Sub-Commission on Cultural Dissemination - kasama nito ang Committees on Communication, Cultural Education, and Language and Translation. Laman ng proyektong ito ang mga programang magpapakilala, magpapahalaga at magpapalaganap ng mga imahen at sagisag kultura ng Filipinas upang maging laman ng kamulatan at diwa ng lahat ng Filipino na magiging hulmahan ng kaniyang identidad bilang lahi. Ang FLAGSHIP PROJECT na ito ay pinamamahalaan ng mga kasalukuyang pinuno ng Sub-Commission on Cultural Dissemination Comm. Alice Panares, Dr. Cecilia M. Dy, Dr. Mario Miclat, G. Quintin P. Pastrana, National Artist Virgilio Senadren Almario, Arvin Villalon, Evangeline Pascual, at Tagapamahala ng Programa na si G. Joseph "Sonny" Cristobal. Ang SAGISAG KULTURA COMPETITION ay pambansang tagisan sa pagkilala sa mga Sagisag Kultura ng Filipinas ng mga mag-aaral sa Elementary at High school mula sa labimpitong (17) Rehiyon ng bansa kasama ng mga guro na may pag-aaral sa Cultural Education Courses at Kaguruang Makabayan Seminar na ipinagkaloob ng Pambansang Komisyon ng Kultura at mga Sining (NCCA) at nga katuwang ng Higher Education Institutions.
