Remember there is no right or wrong answer, just answer as accurately as possible. Use the scale below to answer the questions. If you think the statement is very true of you, circle 7; if a statement is not at all true of you, circle 1. If the statement is more or less true of you find the number between 1 and 7 that best describes you. Not at all true of me very true of me 28. 4 39. I try to change the way I study in order to fit the program requirements and the instructor s teaching style. 40. When course work is difficult, I give up or only study the easy parts. 43. I have a regular place set aside for studying. 44. I make sure that I keep up with the weekly readings and assignments for this program. 45. I attend classes regularly. 46. Even when program materials are dull and uninteresting, I manage to keep working until I finish. 47. When studying for this program I try to determine which concepts I don t understand well. 48. I often find that I don t spend very much time on this program because of other activities. 49. When I study for this program, I set goals for myself in order to direct my activities in each study period. 50. If I get confused taking notes in the program, I make sure I sort it out afterwards. 51. I rarely find time to review my notes or readings before an exam. Reverse scoring is used on some items in this section. The following should be done when asked to reverse score- 1 = 7 2 = 6 3 = 5 4 = 4 5 = 3 6 = 2 7 = 1 Reprinted with permission Pintrich, P., Smith, D., Garcia, T., & McKeachie, W. (1991).
