1 ! Peck Madigan Jones, The Ickes & Enright Group, Bay Bridge Strategies and Tiber Creek Health Strategies comprise the Tiber Creek Group, originally founded in With offices in Washington and New York City, we are one of the largest bipartisan, independently owned government relations organizations. Our 20 lobbyists 11 Democrats and 9 Republicans are senior professionals with extensive experience in all parts of the government and with political campaigns at the presidential, federal, state and local levels. We deploy bipartisan engagement teams that deliver measurable results for clients whether Democrats or Republicans control Congress and the White House. The combination of policy expertise and deep relationships with the Leadership of both Houses of Congress, all key committee chairs and ranking members, moderate Senate and House Democrats, rank-and-file members of both parties and the Administration uniquely positions us as a one-stop shop for advocacy needs in the 114 th Congress: Senate Republicans: Our senior-level Republican lobbyists are well positioned with every member of Senate Leadership, committee chairs, policy leaders and newly elected Senators. Senate Democrats: No other firm can offer the history, relationships and track record with moderate Senate Democrats whose support will be necessary to reach the filibuster-proof margin of 60 votes. House Republicans: We maintain very strong ties with House Republican Leadership, committee chairs and the diverse range of members throughout the Conference. House Democrats: Our track record of enlisting Democratic support for major measures in the House matches our results in the Senate. The Administration: We have worked across the Administration on a range of issues the past six years. The Race for President: We have already engaged with Democrat and Republican campaigns for President that are now off and running. In sum, we are pragmatic, not ideological. Because we are results-driven, strategic and deeply immersed in both policy and politics, our client retention rate is among the highest of any firm in Washington. Our Team of Republicans A former member of the Senate Republican senior leadership staff, Drew Cantor has strong relationships at the top of the House and Senate GOP leadership. For the past 11 years (at Peck Madigan Jones and the American Insurance Association), he has worked extensively on a diverse range of financial services and capital markets issues, including!
2 Page 2 Dodd-Frank, through which he has forged close ties to the Chairmen of the Senate Banking and House Financial Services Committees and rank-and-file members of both. Drew also works closely with the Chairmen and other GOP members of the Senate Budget, Commerce and Finance Committees. Megan Farrell has substantial experience on financial services and capital markets issues, including the consideration and implementation of Dodd-Frank, on which she works for more than a dozen clients. Her expertise includes banking, derivatives, capital markets, housing finance, money laundering and corporate governance. Megan also handles trade issues and has worked on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, legislation to establish Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with Russia and Trade Promotion Authority. Janet Mullins Grissom has served in senior positions in the Senate, the Executive Branch, in political campaigns and for a Fortune 50 company. She served as Chief of Staff for Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Assistant Secretary of State and Assistant to the President for Political Affairs for George H.W. Bush, and Corporate Officer for Ford Motor Company, as VP for Government Affairs. Janet s policy concentrations include health care, financial services, technology, energy and environment, transportation, foreign policy, congressional investigations and crisis management. Lindsey Ledwin has worked for Senate Republican moderates Susan M. Collins (R-ME), Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Bill Cohen (R-ME), and has close ties to Independent Angus King. She works with a variety of clients on cybersecurity, data breach and NSA reform. Lindsey also has a proven track record of securing funding for clients in the areas of disaster relief, energy, transportation (maritime, FAA and Highway), healthcare and homeland security. Peter Madigan is a senior Republican strategist whose background in Foreign Affairs and International Trade spans the past two decades. He served eight years in the Reagan and Bush Administrations, working for James A Baker III as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Treasury Department and as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the State Department. A veteran of presidential, Senate and House campaigns and numerous major political and policy battles, Peter has worked on both sides of the aisle to achieve passage of the last five trade agreements. During his six years at the firm, Justin McCarthy has focused primarily on Republican Leadership in the House and Senate, the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee. He previously served in a number of roles in the Executive Office of the President, including in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs during the Bush (43) Administration. His work on tax and trade issues precedes his service in the Bush Administration and includes his time on Capitol Hill in the mid-90s and as a corporate lobbyist at Pfizer. Andrew McKechnie served as policy advisor to incoming Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) when he was Ranking Member of the Senate
3 Page 3 Finance Committee. In that role with Senator Grassley and the Finance Committee, Andrew worked extensively on multiple issues related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicare reforms. With a Masters in Health Policy from George Washington University, Andrew works extensively with clients seeking to navigate implementation of the ACA as well as the complex regulatory process at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Jen Olson has more than a decade of government and public affairs experience, including eight years as senior policy staff to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC). She led negotiations on a range of important issues, including foreign policy, immigration and energy/climate legislation, and her work included creating bipartisan Senate coalitions, navigating complex Senate procedures and politics and developing strategic plans. As a result, Jen is uniquely situated to assist our clients in a highly partisan environment. Jeff Shapiro served for six years as Chief of Staff to Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), a member of the Ways and Means Committee. He brings more than a decade of political and public policy experience to the firm, having previously served on Capitol Hill for former Rep. Lee Terry (R-NE), who was a senior member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, as well as in the Washington office of a Fortune 200 company. With deep relationships forged from extensive political experience, Jeff brings invaluable insights into the Republican Conference, from leadership to the operational dynamics of rank-and-file congressional offices, while focusing his policy work on tax, trade, agriculture, education and telecommunications matters. Our Team of Democrats Alix Burns, President of Bay Bridge Strategies, is an experienced strategist with expertise in political campaigns, coalitions, private sector clients and public affairs for a national technology association. Alix focuses on the technology economy from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, with experience managing broad-based coalitions on issues including technology, energy and healthcare. With significant time spent on both coasts in Silicon Valley and Washington Alix has unique insights into the differing ways that practitioners, principals and policymakers approach problems and seek solutions. Janice Enright partners with Harold Ickes in the Ickes & Enright Group, which they formed in Previously, Janice worked in the Clinton White House as Harold s chief of staff when he was Deputy Chief of Staff to President Clinton. After his Senate career, Bryant spent several years running the entire government affairs operation at PhRMA (the drug manufacturing trade association) during which time he oversaw Affordable Care Act negotiations with Congress and the White House. Through these experiences, Bryant has developed strong relationships with Senate Democrats, particularly Members of the Senate Finance Committee and Senate Leadership. Harold Ickes has been in the public arena since 1964, when he began his work as a Civil Rights worker in Mississippi and Louisiana. He then turned his focus to Presidential campaigns and the practice of labor law, among other things.
