4 Galatasaray AŞ FC Schalke Wednesday February 1.CET (1. local time) background Galatasaray AŞ will look to build on their strong finish to the UEFA Champions group stage when they host FC Schalke in the first leg of their round of 1 tie in. After losing their first two Group H fixtures, Fatih Terim's men finished with three straight wins to snatch second place in the section and will now bid to make it four in a row in their first ever meeting with Schalke. This tie marks a UEFA Champions debut for Jens Keller, the man brought in by Schalke to replace Huub Stevens as coach in December. Appointed Turkey coach in 1 and led them to EURO '. They lost all of their games in England, but just getting to the final tournament, Turkey's first since the 1 FIFA World Cup, was a major landmark.
