2 The initiative TAM is a University post-graduate educational and research centre, it organize events in order to present best practices and to let the local business stakeholder meet and communicate. In 2006 TAM, in collaboration with IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Foundation and Public Institutions, organized in Pavia a global meeting: The 1st HTA conference (Health Technology Assessment), in which it was involved the National Health Service. Since then, TAM focused on Healthcare administration and technology concerning both research programs and conferences following an HTA approach. HTA involves in the hospital decisions new characters, not only, as usually, the general manager or head physicians, but also pharmacists, clinical engineers, economists, nurses, etc. In this context, the HTA conference result to be a place where different healthcare professionals, coming from hospitals, universities and industry, meet and exchange knowledge and needs. The desire is therefore to reproduce in the same context and after almost four years since the first time a major scientific event for the city of Pavia, in the University premises, in close collaboration with the Fondazione IRCCS San Matteo and other institutions, local and regional. For this reason we decided to bring in the days of June 2010 the: 2nd HTA PAVIA CONFERENCE: Technology And Management in the hospital. The initiative is proposed as a time for debate and cross-cultural study on various issues and health-organizational nature. 2

6 AREAS Congress Job opportunities in the EU. for doctors and health professionals Italian The Center for Technology Assessment and Management as part of its activities of the Health Technology Assessment in Health Care Management technology, has increased the number of training initiatives, research and conferences on technology and hospital management. The result of this first experience, joined by the General Medic Councilof Pavia, is the "2nd HTA Pavia Conference, Technology and Management in the hospital." The institutions involved in this conference are the University of Pavia and the EURES (European Employment Service). EURES is an organization dedicated to promote exchanges of professionals in the European Union and operates locally in collanboration with the Province of Pavia. The University of Pavia, with the work of EURES, will introduce a more adequate teachers and graduate students working in the circuits of Europe; EURES can offer the services of its medical consultants (professionals with specialized expertise in practical matters, legal and administrative provisions concerning the international mobility and cross-border) who is looking for a job and to those already employed but interested in the job market in Europe. 6
