Again, the KVMRT has given us challenging tasks, and has given us the opportunity to introduce innovative techno - logy solutions, such as for example our VARIOKIT tunnel formwork and truss systems, which are provided as effi cient alternative to custom made formwork due to the fact of being entirely rentable. Also the local highrise construction is keeping developing at a strong pace, demanding for innovative, and more labour efficient alternatives to con - ventional aluminium formwork. The shortage of quali fied workers is repeatedly mentioned by our customers as the major challenge in the market for everyone. Related to the lacking qualification of the workforce are issues with productivity, safety and quality! These mentioned issues will not be solved by continuously importing millions of unqualified workers into Malaysia. The only real option for sustainable development is improving education and professional training. Responding to this major market requirement, we have recently taken another important step ahead. We have opened our PERI Malaysia Training Center, which targets to n Train contractor and subcontractor site teams on the use of our products before they are using them on site, and therefore ensuring high productivity from the first day of use. n Increase awareness and competencies on modern technology and specifically safety, in order to prevent accidents. n Increase the method engineering competencies of interested parties in the early phase of a project, in order to introduce more compliant work processes. Sincerely, Bernhard Steinle, Managing Director Transfer Floor Shoring: Well ahead of schedule with PERI system Country Danga Bay, Johor Bahru Teng Yue Overseas Construction Sdn Bhd The Country Danga Bay project is one of the most high profile developments in the Iskandar region. The China company, Teng Yue Overseas Construction has chosen PERI for their formwork solution for the podium of 9 blocks. The PERI formwork logistic teams provided punctual delivery of 15,000 m² of ST 100 shoring towers and PERI UP. In order to achieve the most efficient construction results, the technical processing and static calculations were carried out from the beginning onwards by PERI engineers. Mr. Lee Jun Yuan, Senior Civil Engineer: PERI System provided us with a easy and fast shoring system. Ensure a safe construction process with the stable and high capacity ST 100. 3 Complete solution with versatile systems and competent services The Paradigm Tower D, Kelana Jaya Paradigm Mall is part of the RM 1.8 billion dynamic integrated commercial development, for WCT s that comprises a corporate office tower, serviced apartments and a 4-star business class Première Hotel with 4,300 parking bays. WCT started the construction since 2013 for Tower A, B and now Tower D. PERI Malaysia was commissioned to provide a total formwork solution that enabled the contractor WCT to fulfill the high requirements as well as the tight construction schedule. Reuseability of the system also means better preservation of our environment. KL Eco City is an integrated urban city development located in Bangsar, right across Mid Valley City. For the slender city landmark, PERI developed a comprehensive formwork and scaffolding solution in close cooperation with the project management using a VARIO GT 24 wall formwork with CB 240 for the core and column. While PD 8 was used for slab formwork. An efficient working environment was guaranteed by the use of the RCS climbing protection panel on the building s outer edges. 6 Reduced construction time thanks to ST 100 shoring solution KVMRT Package V3, Bandar Utama Mudajaya Corporation Bhd PERI Formwork Malaysia Sdn Bhd Mr. Alexander K Thomas, Deputy Project Manager: The close co-operation with the PERI engineers led to best solutions, both technically and economically. Due to efficient assembly processes and optimized sequence of operations, the cycles are easy to achieve. The RM816 million Mass Rail Transit (MRT) V3 Viaduct work package was awarded to Mudajaya Corporation Bhd with the task of building the MRT viaduct guideway and other associated works from Dataran Sunway to Section 17. The technically challenging task consisted of completing the construction within the shortest possible time in normal busy traffic conditions and without having to close off the roads. In order to speed up the constrution progress, Mudajaya opted for the curved viaduct section to use shoring instead of the balanced cantilever system. PERI supplied within a short time frame a very big amount of ST 100 shoring towers. By the possibility to construct the towers horizontally on the ground and place them in position by the crane, safe operations are guaranteed while the assembly time was tremendously reduced. For the various shape of the bridge body the flexible girder formwork VARIO together with VARIOKIT component proved perfectly adapted. VARIO formwork for inclined wall areas fitted between the main girders of the bearing. Everything from one source: external formwork and the cantilever formwork for the superstructure using VARIO GT 24 on ST 100 shoring towers. Support construction using standard parts. 7 Safe, easy and quick formwork systems PR1MA, Johor Bahru A total of 72 residential projects has been approved this year by 1Malaysia People s Housing (PR1MA) Corporation, offering 50,000 units to the buyers and built throughout the county in the major urban and sub-urban areas. Aturan Prisma Sdn Bhd relies on PERI Engineers to develop a cost-effective yet flexible solution for this housing project. The economic PERI TK table formwork proved to be the perfect solution to pour the slabs. PERI table trolleys ensure safe and practical moving of the units. This allows more room for moving formwork equipment horizontally. Mr. Wayn Khor, Project Manager: PERI SKYDECK aluminium panel slab formwork solution totally supported us to reduce the formwork cycle and manpower, in order for us to complete the skeleton work on time as planned. Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd Sunway South Quay in Bandar Sunway is a development comprising over 160 acres of residential and commercial land located next to Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Lagoon. This area will comprise of luxury villas, condominiums, apartments, commercial and retail development overlooking a 28 acres lake. Being one of our long time customer, Sunway Construction decided to purchase PERI SKYDECK and LIWA for their on-going development projects. SKYDECK was used for the slabs, supplemented by MULTIFLEX for beams, the stairwall and column were done in LIWA. 7

The products are simple to operate and can be used very flexibly. In addition, PERI provided us with the required technical support on the construction site. The Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) station is the biggest among the seven underground MRT stations with 45 m depth along the SBK route which will later be extended to Serdang and Putrajaya (MRT Two Route). Starting with the modular SB Frame system for pouring the single sided walls, PERI has supplied the vast majority of temporary works structures on TRX. TRIO wallform and ST 100 slab formwork. The Cochrane MRT Station is one of the biggest underground stations with an excavation depth of 32 m. As the complete solution provider, PERI engineers worked closely together with the main and subcontractor to define the most efficient solutions. Out of the wide range of products, PERI was able to support the site with state of the art modular working scaffolds, access stair towers, single sided wall formwork, climbing formwork for core units and modular shoring systems. The support ranged from instruction on site to timely logistics performance. Aman Centre will be largest and hottest lifestyle destination in the region of northern Peninsular Malaysia. In order to be able to realize such a big project in a construction time of only 30 months, PERI provided a comprehensive end-to-end solution. Rimbaco chose to use PERI PD 8 slab tables as cost efficient slab formwork solution which ensures fast and safe moving times for the over 6 m high floor. For the construction of 2 block 32 storey office towers, the contractor was faced with a considerable challenge in terms safety and logistics due to the restricted space available in ultimate proximity to the highway and tight building schedule. With the fast building pro- gress, the construction crew used the PERI TK tables for slab formwork while VARIO GT 24 wall formwork with CB 240 has been continued to be the right choice for the liftcore. PERI s formwork systems help us to go through all the obstacles of our project. Their team were helpful providing us with several and reasonable solutions for each part of our project. If I had to summarize PERI s formwork in one word I would say SMART. The main concern of the client was to optimize the cycling of formwork and to reduce the number of labour required. In order to meet the clients 2 days cycle requirement, 2,100 m² of SKYDECK were delivered to site. The light weight SKYDECK components allowed quick and easy handling without the use of a crane. The drop head enables striking of the formwork as early as efficient 2 days, allowing to reuses the panels, leaving only propping in place. The combination of SKYDECK slab formwork, LIWA column and wall formwork speed up the work progess substantially. 14 Systematically safe working conditions KVMRT Package V8, Kajang Package V8 starts from Taman Mesra and ends at Kajang Station (4.6 km main line). It includes 1.8 km spur line of southbound and northbound single track spur line viaduct to the proposed Kajang Depot. There are 3 elevated stations along this package namely Sungai Kantan, Bandar Kajang and Kajang Stations. PERI was supplying the complete formwork and shoring solution to UEM. The piers are build with the flexbile The external web formwork and cantilever formwork consisted of PERI standard components. VARIO girder formwork on safe CB 240 climbing brackets. The Pier heads are realized with PERI ST 100 and PERI UP shoring in the combination with custom made-units for the round shaped parts. Time and cost saving with rentable truss structures KVMRT PJU 5 Station, Kota Damansara Naim Engineering Sdn Bhd Naim Engineering was the first East Malaysia s to be awarded a section of Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) project, namely Station S4 which includes Section 16, Pusat Bandar Damansara and Semantan, and Station S2, PJU 5 and Dataran Sunway. To ensure fast building progress, 3 type of beams in length of 10 m, 15 m and 20 m long were formed at the same time. The VARIOKIT truss system served as a support for the VARIO platform to support the parapet beam and slabs during the construction.
