3 Sapa 4150 SX Façade System Energy efficient Energy efficiency requires a comprehensive view of the façade. Our new façade system has been developed with this point of departure. Using the 4150 SX as the basis it is easy to integrate such products as opening units, solar protection, solar cell glass, infill panels and low emission glazing units. Everything is prepared for obtaining an energy efficient façade. The specially developed insulating strip, together with the inside gaskets, gives a very well insulated and air tight structure. The profiles are designed so as to ensure stability under the dimensioning loads and are joined together with hidden joints. Framework profiles (SX). Rectangular (profile depth 5-00 mm), I- and T-shaped profiles give a lot of freedom in interior design. The visible profile width is 50 mm. Decorative profiles. A wide selection gives freedom in exterior design. Rebate. Alternatives adapted to a glass thickness of 8-56 mm for the best possible U value. Infill panels. Traditional mineral wool infill panels or VakuPanel with U values as low as 0.17 W/m K. A wide choice of surface layers. Solar cell glass. Sapa Solar BIPV can be easily integrated in the system. Quality and parameters. Conformity with the P mark requirements of the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP). Surface treatment. The profiles can be surface finished by anodising (clear or Hx colours) or powder coating (NCS-S and RAL).

5 Sapa Solar BIPV Additional energy contribution Sapa Solar BIPV is our new system which enables us to take advantage of the solar energy. The system is based on solar cells which are built into double or triple transparent glazing units or into parapet walls as non-transparent single glass panes. The solar cell glass can be easily integrated into our 5050 glazed roof system or 4150/4150 SX façade system. It forms a complete system solution with all required electrical components. Sapa Solar BIPV opens up the way for modern construction. The great choice of forms, colours and optical structures of the solar cells, combined with different glass and profile alternatives, makes it possible to create energy efficient, innovative and environmentally aware projects. 7 Sapa Solar Shading 4550 Energy control Function and form become one in architectural solutions. Our exterior solar protection system reduces the cooling needs of buildings to a minimum. The system offers three louvre shapes, Bow, Wing and Box, which gives the architect a lot of freedom when it comes to the choice of the form and the functions. The solar protection system is a simple and elegant complement to our 4150/4150 SX façade systems. We offer solutions for visually unbroken solar protection and for distinct division into sections. With the help of our decorative profiles, the appearance of the bearing profiles can be emphasised in order to harmonize with the architecture of the building. Our solar protection systems are available with motor drive for an optimal control of sunlight and energy. Arrangement. The solar protection is available as horizontally or vertically arranged screens, and in addition, the latter solution can be provided with horizontal or vertical louvres. Installation. Self-bearing screens or as a secondary structure on another carrying framework. Fittings are available for installing the louvres at an angle of 0, 15, 30 or 45. Louvre profiles. Bow, Wing or Box with a depth of 190 or 300 mm. Surface treatment. The profiles can be surface finished by anodising (clear or Hardoxal colours) or powder coating (NCS-S and RAL). 7

9 Sapa 1074 SX Window System Energy efficient The 1074 SX window system meets high energy saving and air tightness requirements. It has been included in the list of energy efficient windows by the Swedish Energy Agency. Our aluminium window combines minimum maintenance needs with good indoor comfort. The 1074 SX has a specially developed insulating strip made of a glass fibre reinforced polyamide installed between the aluminium profiles. The structure ensures good form stability and durability. The windows can be fitted with multifunction glazing units with improved noise reduction ability, dirt repellent properties, anti-burglar protection, and more. Arrangement: The system includes fixed windows, partitions, French windows and inward opening windows. Fittings. Side-, bottom- or top-hung or tilt-and-turn (TBT). Solid aluminium handles, lockable or non-lockable. Rebate. Gasket and glazing bead alternatives adapted to a glass thickness of mm for the best possible U value. Anti-burglar protection. Available in resistance class 2 according to the ENV 1627 standard. Noise reduction. Depending on the selected glazing alternative, airborne noise reduction can be offered up to R w 43 db(a) according to the EN ISO standard. Quality and parameters. 11 Sapa 4150 EF Façade System, element based façade Energy efficient Our new 4150 EF system has been developed to enable prefabrication of façade elements. The benefits of using façade elements include easier control over the production process and rational installation without scaffolding when constructing large or complex buildings. The façade system makes it easy to integrate such products as opening units, infill panels and low emission glazing units. The structure is very well insulated and compatible with the 4150 SX façade system. The glazing beads are bevelled for better water runoff and mitred in the corners in order to obtain a so-called frame picture design. The profiles are designed so as to ensure stability under the dimensioning loads and are joined together with hidden joints. Framework profiles. Rectangular shape with a profile depth of 120 or 140 mm. The visible profile width is 70 mm at element joints or 50 mm at intermediate cross-bars. Rebate. Alternatives adapted to a glass thickness of mm for the best possible U value. Infill panels. Traditional mineral wool infill panels or VakuPanel with U values as low as 0,17 W/m 2 K.
