11 Testimonials Students have expressed how the Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Science has helped them succeed in their professional programs After graduating with my degree in Exercise Science and entering UK s PT program I quickly realized that I was vastly more prepared for the program than my cohorts. The courses in the KHP program allowed me to quickly grasp many of the complex concepts taught in Physical Therapy school. I would suggest that anyone remotely interested in the Health Professions strongly consider majoring in KHP. Stephen Karam Class of 06 I chose a degree in Exercise Science because the courses were very applicable to my main goal of being accepted into Physical Therapy School. With the instruction from many wonderful professors, I studied courses which greatly prepared me for the demanding courses in UK s PT program. As a first year PT student I feel very confident and prepared to succeed in the program and as a future physical therapist thanks to my Exercise Science degree. Samantha Starr Class of 09

12 Testimonials Students have expressed how the Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Science has helped them succeed in their professional programs "With my degree in exercise science, I was uniquely equipped with a holistic understanding of the human body as well as interpersonal communication skills that surpassed many traditional pre-medical students. Justin Rubin, Class of 03 Dermatology Resident I feel like the Exercise Science program at UK prepared me well for PA school, because many of the graduation requirements overlapped with the pre-requisites I needed for PA school. Additionally, I had the opportunity to complete my practicum at the UK emergency department. From there, I was able to get a job as a nursing care technician, which gave me the opportunity to have patient contact and a lot of hands-on experience. Kelly E. Graham Class of 11 Physician Assistant Student
