PVC (no rot) Brickmould, along with 5/4x4, 1x4, 1x6 and 1x4BB trim is also available. 1x4 5/4x4 1x6 WM180 Brickmould (1 1 /8" x 2") Backband ( 1 /2" x 1") PVC 1x4BB ( 9 /16" x 4 1 /2" - 1 /16" on BB) SILLS AND SILL TRIM units come standard with treated and primed wood sill and nosing (exterior). Clad sills are standard on clad units and available on wood units. Sill Trim (interior) is Standard and Reversible trim on wood or clad sills. Reversible sill trim must be used when the jamb thickness is greater than 4-9/16 and for Grade 40 applications (Stool applications cannot be used with a reversible sill trim). They consist of a heavy, white aluminum frame (/4 x 7/ rollformed) with charcoal fiberglass mesh. Spring loaded plungers at the top make removal easy. Half screens are available for radius vent units. Specify screen and color desired at the time of order. units come standard with White screens. Clad exteriors encase the wood exterior frame in.050 extruded aluminum clad and the wood exterior sash in roll-formed.024 aluminum clad, all with an applied low maintenance electrostatic polyester enamel to resist scratches and make cosmetic upkeep easier than ever imagined. Clad finish is White, Cream, Sand, Bronze or Green. GRILLES (See right for details) s are available and optional on all window units. Monarch offers /4 or 1-1/8 KD or Full Surround s in addition to PDL (Permanent Divided Lite with mill finish (standard) or Bronze finish (optional GBG), SDL (Simulated Divided Lite, No GBG) available /4, 1-1/8, 2 and 5/8 or 7/8 GBG (s Between the ) grille configurations. JAMBS jambs are water-repellent and insect toxic treated. The standard basic unit jamb width is 4-9/16. Pine extension jambs are available for wall thicknesses from 4-9/16 to 12. GLAZING (see below for details) Monarch windows are standard with high test /4 Clear, insulated glass. Glazing options include Clear, Low E, Bronze, Gray or Obscure. All available in annealed or tempered glass. CLAD NAIL FIN Clad units will utilize fold-over nail fins to protect the clad finish from scratches and abrasions during shipping. Nail fins then lock into place for easy installation. the initial cost is less, and better energy performance guarantees years of lower energy bills. Exterior grille bars will match the window finish as specified. Interior bars are of Clear Ponderosa Pine. Exterior bars are primed aluminum for wood units or White, Cream, Sand, Bronze or Green aluminum finish for clad units. GBG spacer bars are also all seven (7) finish colors. Monarch s Clip- Pak Sash and Balance Replacement System is just what you need to solve that problem. Clip-Pak is the simple, costeffective way to bring your home and windows into the 21st century by installing Monarch s Insulated with, Clad or Mcell Sash and Tilt Balances. Monarch s Clip-Pak sash are standard Double Hung sizes or can be made into custom sizes to meet any requirements that your replacement project may require. (Minimum sash opening size available is 1 4 x 2 6, and maximum size is 4 x 7 6.) Replacement Sash are primed, treated and weatherstripped. sash are ready for you to apply an oil-based alkyd primer and two coats of 100% Acrylic Latex (exterior grade) semigloss house and trim enamel. Monarch s Clip-Pak Clad Replacement Sash have a.024 roll-formed aluminum sash clad on the exterior, White, Cream, Sand, Bronze or Green. This low maintenance feature eliminates exterior painting of the sash. The interiors of both wood and clad Clip-Pak Replacement Sash are of clear pine and can be stained or painted to match existing decor. Monarch s Mcell is a highly engineered, high endurance material that never rots, warps, cracks, sticks or swells. Block and tackle balances. Interior primed wood trim on perimeter of frame. All exterior clad painted parts shall be finished with a high solids polyester thermal setting No-Mar finish that requires minimal maintenance and resists scratches and surface damage better than most other finishes on the market. The finish shall meet or exceed the AAMA 260 Industry Standard which meets the 1000 hour salt spray test criteria. Standard colors are White, Cream, Sand, Bronze, and Green. WEATHERSTRIPPING Weatherstripping shall be foam filled polyethylene factory installed on heads and jambs of both inswing and out-swing doors and at the bumper sill of the out-swing door for maximum protection from air and water infiltration. Sweeps are manufactured from a TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber) material which has superior UV resistance and better memory retention and resistance to paint damage than soft vinyl weatherstrips and sweeps. Monarch s unique fixed panel Z-Flashing has proven itself over years of exposure to be one of the best designs to resist water penetration. Additional improvements have been made, utilizing similar principles, in the fixed panel vertical weatherstripping making water penetration virtually impossible. CLAD NAIL FIN Clad units will utilize fold-over nail fins to protect the clad finish from scratches and abrasions during shipping. Nail fins then lock into place for easy installation. SILL Sill shall be aluminum with an adjustable synthetic threshold. The sill shall be fully adjustable, with a range of over 1/4 to fine-tune every installation for maximum water and air protection. Sill finish options (in addition to aluminum) include brass or bronze anodized on standard 4-9/16" and 6-9/16 depth units. Inswing french doors with screen kits are not available with Brass or Bronze finish options. An ADA compliant handicapped sill is also mill finish only. (No screen options are available with the ADA sill. ADA sills are not available for 6-9/16" and larger jamb depths.) Screen sill tracks are standard on all multipanel door systems with standard sills. Note that 2 and panel French applications require an extension kit to house the second screen. This kit provides sufficient depth to allow for either a 4-9/16" or 6-9/16" installation. SCREENS Screens are optional on all multiple panel doors. CLAD BRICKMOULD Clad Brickmould is available as an option on all Clad in-swing and out-swing configurations. Note that on two or three-panel French in-swing doors with the screen extension kit applied to the frame, the Clad Brickmould option locks the frame into a 6-9/16" jamb depth.
