1 Captain Nick Cutler, MCA Master 3,000 GRT Class IV About Me. I have been professionally involved full time in many diverse facets of the Marine industry for the past 25 years. I cut my teeth in dinghy sailing as a very small boy and have followed a path on the ocean wave since being able to start my career as a Shipwright Boatbuilder when leaving school and choosing the traditional Apprenticeship route to further education. In this time I have gained an extensive all-round knowledge of the boating industry and through my passion for yachts have been fortunate to travel the world aboard them. I have been involved in full commissioning and refit programs for large charter companies and private projects alike. I have performed in house project management of many maintenance & refit projects including large ABS class surveys. With my employment history I have gained a healthy marine engineering knowledge and have a strong hands on approach to my work. I have Captained Charter and Private yachts in a variety of international destinations with an in-depth knowledge and love of those local waters and cultures. I have an impressive track record with client and guest satisfaction in the large sailing yacht charter world and have cruised with many high profile clientele. I have a credible amount of Blue-water sea-time in command situations and have subsequently logged well in excess of 150,000 nautical miles. I am also a fully qualified Shipwright. I am considered by my employers and piers as one of the industries professionals. This is directly reflected in the standard of vessels that have been in my care and the longevity and stable environment I provide to the owners, vessels and crew under my command. I have the HIGHEST Safety, Seamanship and Personal standards which I am proud to stand behind 100% and never compromise or shortcut. All Documentation, Commands and Mileage logged are Attested by the Professional Yachts Association and the Maritime Coastguard Agency in the UK and are in date & CURRENT. 3 Nicks Mission Statement Firstly I thank you indeed for taking the time to read my presentation. It is always hard to narrow down the details when asked to be brief on a colorful history without omitting fact. As you may note, all of my engagements have been long term and stable. In 2012 I am embarking on a new angle in my Career and am very excited to have launched NCMaritime which will endeavor to provide the Large Yacht Industry with Highest Calibre Freelance Crew available at short notice - Worldwide. Whether you are in need of a Captain, Chief Stewardess, Engineer, or Chef my 25 years of industry networking will go a log way top provide you with a NO FUSS straight to the point approach to get your Passage Plan back on a steady course. Life is full of challenges and I would like to take my Captaincy to the Next Level and am more than ready to step up to my next adventures and have no reservations about making sure that my next engagements will be exciting and enjoyable for all parties. The right vessels on my portfolio at NCMARITIME are as important to me as is the need for you to feel harmonious in your decision with choosing NC Maritime too. As I am sure your decision to consider me as a Captain has many parameters and wish lists of your own, so too does my future and I sincerely as always hope that we may develop an exciting, safe, and transparently trustworthy relationship and look forward to opportunities that may arise aboard your vessel that require a seamlessly integrated Captain and or Relief crew. As my career has developed I have many other supplementary engagements and have been involved in many other short term capacities that we do not have the space or time to fill in here. As diverse as a North to South Delivery a 125 Motor-yacht via the entire inter-coastal waterways of the USA, to Charter Captain in New York City for the Annual MACY S Fireworks display, you can be assured that there is a very diverse and wealthy boating knowledge that is the very backbone of my nautical experience. I am as comfortable on the Bridge of a Super-yacht as I am knocking around in the boatyard workshop and adore classic boat restoration of any size. Highest calibre and discreet personal & professional references are available to further interested parties upon request.
