1 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this first class, "Recovery is Real", you will learn the basics of recovery. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will identify the aspects of a recovery environment. 2. The participant will give examples of the meaning of empowerment. 3. The participant will summarize how recovery happens - how following the five Pathways to Recovery has helped many succeed on their journey. 4. The participant will learn how moments of choice have a role in the recovery process.
2 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this second class, "Road to Recovery", you will focus on self-determination and how that fuels recovery. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will recognize whose job it is to recover. 2. The participant will explain the process to activate self determination. 3. The participant will apply the materials learned to take back their power to recover. 4. The participant will identify barriers to the journey toward recovery.
3 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this third class, "The Language of Recovery", you will learn how language we use can either help or hinder recovery. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will demonstrate the ability to use the power of the language of recovery to promote recovery. 2. The participant will give examples of messages of hope that focus on building strengths and resilience. 3. The participant will describe an example of using recovery conversations to promote wellness.
4 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this fourth class, "Planning that Promotes Recovery", you will apply what you have learned in prior classes to develop a recovery plan. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will restate the underlying problems with the traditional treatment planning process. 2. The participant will apply the Eight Guiding Principles of Recovery Planning to real-life example. 3. The participant will describe the dynamics of a planning session.
5 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this fifth class, "Let s Start Living Large", you will ready to apply what you re been learning and step into the richness and vividness that life has to offer. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will learn the importance of being the driver on the road to recovery. 2. The participant will provide examples of ways to gain a sense of meaning and purpose in one s life. 3. The participant will express an understanding that having a mental illness does not limit recovery.
6 Material in each class will include suggestions on what each of you can do to contribute to recovery. In this sixth class, "The Resiliency Factor", you will learn how to stay on track and how to develop bounce-back skills. The learning objectives for this class are the following: 1. The participant will demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of resilience and how to maintain it. 2. The participant will express an understanding of the importance of supporting each other in maintaining resilience. 3. The participant will list the Five Recovery Pathways and how each pathways supports recovery.
