4 THE MARY LYONS DETOX CENTER Providing Medically Supervised Detoxification Services 24 hours per day, seven days per week for voluntary of involuntary Marchman Act substance abusers in Polk County and surrounding areas. Licensed capacity is 20 beds. Polk pays for 3 beds per day. 4

5 OUTPATIENT SERVICES Tri-County has been providing outstanding outpatient substance abuse treatment services to adults and adolescents in the Polk, Highlands and Hardee County areas for over 40 years. We have Mental Health Services in Avon Park, Lakeland and Highland City which will treat children from the age of two up to adults. 6 RASUW CENTER FOR WOMEN Located in Bartow at 2725 Hwy 60 East, RASUW Center for Women is a State of Florida recognized 15 Bed assessment and stabilization residential unit for pregnant and postpartum females with Addiction and Mental Health issues/diagnosis. 80% of the children born to women who have received services are born drug free. Open 24/7 6

7 AGAPE HALFWAY HOUSE The Agape House is a ten (10) bed residential facility for women, in Winter Haven, with substance dependence disorders. These individuals are required to be : Employed, or Involved in job training, or Employment search activities, and Many women are engaged in a reunification plan to regain custody with their children while in the Agape Program. This is a 24/7 program. 7

8 TRANSITIONAL LIVING FACILITY Transitional Living (TL) provides transitional housing for women that will be reunited with their children after successfully completing addiction treatment and a reunification plan approved by DCF. 8

9 Integrated Behavioral Health Provides Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health and Addiction Treatment) to patients who are receiving Primary Care treatment onsite with the Primary Care Clinic. Offering treatment to both Adults and Children. Links the patient to other services that they may need (such as psychiatric care, housing, case management, specialty care). 9

19 Impact: Indigent Health Care tax (IHC) on TCHS The IHC tax has been used to meet required State of Florida match dollars without using general revenue tax in Polk County, relieving property owners taxed through property assessments. IHC TAX has assured health and allied health issues are effectively addressed The IHC has prompted linkages to other providers (primary health care and other stakeholder agencies to work together to provide needed services). 19

20 Impact: Indigent Health Care tax (IHC) on TCHS The tax has allowed services to qualified Polk residents that, before the tax, may not have been provided (Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), psychiatric care, outpatient, case management services and residential programs). The tax has become the primary funding source for IHC health care and (IBH) Behavioral Health Services 20

(IBH), psychiatric care, outpatient, case management services and residential programs).

21 THE JASA PROGRAM Funded by General Revenue funds from the BoCC Tri-County Human Services, Inc. manages the State Award Winning JASA program, in cooperation with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Per information from Sheriff Judd, in 2012 JASA graduates vs. other inmates in the jail, 20% fewer re-arrests were documented. Based on Sheriff Judd s provided numbers, this resulted in a cost savings of $508, for that year. Compared to funding of $450, for that year. 21
