12 Is schoolwide literacy a priority? AVID Weekly is a strong curriculum resource that helps you implement Common Core State Standards. Web-based and accessible 24 hours per day, 7 days per week Select lessons include ELL (English language learner) embedded scaffolds. What teachers and principals say... As we are developing Common Core Lessons, we are sharing AVID Weekly articles and strategies. Fabulous stuff! I tried out a lesson for the first time, and I realized how un-rigorous my course was if one of your lessons can be done in one period. I asked my class how they liked the rigor, and they surprised me with comments like: we weren t bored, we weren t wasting time, it was fast, but we liked it that way. WOW. Thanks for all the work prepping the lessons and articles thus far; this is one of the best resources I have used with my middleschoolers. Check out free samples of our articles and lessons at avidweekly.org/samples For more information, visit or avidweekly@avid.org
