Plate model recommendations are based on the optimal PCR performance and ease of handling. Most recommended plates are either fully skirted or semiskirted as these plates offer increased rigidity, which reduces plate warping during thermal cycling, facilitates multichannel pipetting, and improves overall ease of use.
