Town of VESTAL, NEW YORK Local Law No. C _ of the year 2015 PROPOSED LOCAL LAW C OF THE YEAR 2015 A Local law A local law to amend the Code of the Town of Vestal by amending Vestal Code Section 18-24, and (Insert Title) Be it enacted by the TOWN BOARD of the (Name of Legislative Body) Town of VESTAL as follows: Section 1. A local law to amend the Code of the Town of Vestal by amending Vestal Code Section and and Whereas previously the New York State Building Code required new residential homes within 100 feet or commercial buildings within 500 feet of a public utility to make such connection to the municipal water and/or sewer service and Whereas the New York State Building Code has been amended to remove this requirement and Whereas the Town of Vestal finds it to be in the best interest of the Town to have this requirement in place; therefore Be it enacted that: 1. Section of the Town of Vestal Code is amended to include a new paragraph (e)to read as follows: All new residential structures within 100 feet and all new commercial structures within 500 feet of a public sewer shall extend the Town s Utility across their frontage 2. Section is amended to include an new paragraph (b) to read as follows: All new residential structures within 100 feet of public water shall extend the Town s Utility across their frontage 3. Section is amended to include a new paragraph (b) to read as follows: 1
