11 MWM Customisation MWM client functionality can be expanded using Custom Application Interface / CITF (Custom In-Task Flow) Custom Apps can be either a) called automatically when user presses a task action such as Accept, Start or Complete b) invoked from the MWM popup menus Custom Apps can return status info and/or data to the MWM application Allows implementation of MWM tasks specific to customer e.g. check product stock level (retail custom task)

12 MWM External Systems Interface External systems can push tasks and requests to the MWM Application. The external systems interface (ESI) combines an application programming interface (API) with a data specification. External systems must comply with the ESI specification. Example 1: An automatic queue monitoring system generates a task to open a new checkout Example 2: A shopper submits a request for assistance at an in-store kiosk by pressing an on-screen button which generates a customer assistance task
