3 On the over Brittany I graduated from the Mohawk-McMaster ollaborative Nursing Program with a BScN in Since then, I have been working in Adult General Medicine at the Juravinski Hospital. It has always been my passion and dream to work with the neonatal population. After some time gaining experience in the nursing field, I knew I wanted to start working towards courses that would help me achieve my goal of becoming a neonatal intensive care nurse (NIU). Mohawk ollege ontinuing Education offers the Perinatal Neonatal Nursing ertificate that employers ook for when hiring. I am able to take these courses while I continue to work part time as a Registered Nurse. This program allows me to complete my work at my own pace around my work schedule. Nour I came to anada in 2012 from Qatar as a Skilled Worker Immigrant, having worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT). I soon found that I couldn t work in my industry without a anadian licence. This led me to the Bridging for Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma at Mohawk ollege ontinuing Education, a great program for internationally trained MLTs that provides clinical placement in a Hamilton area hospital. It was an invaluable experience to meet and get to know staff on the job, while learning how the anadian health care system works. I later wrote my National ertification Exam and got a job as an M T at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton just one month later. I can honestly say that without the instructors' help and support, I wouldn't be able to get my dream job in such a short amount of time. ommunity Employment Looking for work? We can help!
