1 Dear Team Member, Every day countless kids walk the halls of our schools searching for answers to questions like, Why am I here? and Does anyone really care? Many of our youth today are hurting, looking for something to fill the void in their lives. Often these kids turn to drugs, alcohol, violence and unhealthy relationships to fill that void; yet the only real answer is Jesus Christ. The mission of FCA is to help these kids find the answer by presenting to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We would like to present you with an opportunity to join us in telling the story, by serving as a table host for the 2013 Blue Ridge Area FCA Fundraising Banquet which will be held on Thursday, April 25 th at the Best Western Inn & Conference Center in Waynesboro. As a table host, you will be listed in the printed program and invited to meet our special guest speaker, Jimmy Page in the Afton room at 6:00 p.m., prior to the banquet. Jimmy is passionate about reaching coaches and athletes for Christ, serving as VP of Field Ministry with FCA. He is a former lacrosse player, husband, father and a notable coauthor of several books including Wisdom Walks, Wisdom Walk Sports, PrayFit and most recently, One Word That Will Change Your Life. (Check out his bio on our website We encourage you to review the host packet, included on the following pages. Within the packet you will find a FCA Ministry Impact Report, which allows you to catch a glimpse of the overall purpose of FCA, as well as the Table Host Agreement and Guest Forms. If you are willing to serve as a table host for the banquet this year, please let us know by completing the downloadable forms in the 2013 Banquet Table Host Packet attached to this letter. Our 2013 banquet goal is $20,000, which includes an emphasis on increasing the number of our automatic monthly partners (AMP s). This will not only help underwrite the expenses of the event, but will also strengthen our budget as well. This will allow us to bring on additional staff and increase our resources.
