9 Good evening! It is with great pleasure that I, as your Great 100 President, along with your Board, welcome each of you to the 25 th gala! Tonight we honor the 2013 Great 100 recipients as well as the 2400 recipients that came before. We also will acknowledge the scholarship recipients who are here with us tonight. Throughout our 25 year history, this organization has had two priorities which are to celebrate nursing excellence by honoring those top 100 nurses who excel in the profession and community and to provide scholarships to those who are entering this wonderful field or are enhancing their knowledge, skills, and degree by furthering their education. The gala is our way of spot-lighting our shining stars and this year we are expecially excited because after tonight s gala, our alumni will now be 2,500 strong. Just imagine what we can do if we only believe we can make a difference. Thank you for attending tonight s gala. Whether you are a recipient, family, friend or guest, we hope you enjoy tonight s program. Melissa Whittington RN CCRN CIC Great 100 President,
