2 Annual DNP Outcomes Survey: Background Planned and developed by DNP, LLC / DNP PD, Inc. Goal is to determine the state of the practice of DNP graduates Disseminate at annual DNP conferences Two arms of this survey: 1. Graduates in practice 2. Current DNP programs 4 Award a degree that reflects the expert clinical competencies required by healthcare providers to meet the challenging healthcare needs of individuals and changing healthcare systems aacn.org 24 American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) endorsed a position statement for the practice doctorate in nursing to be the educational preparation for the advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) 29 - Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) amended accreditation standards to require the AACN DNP essentials 215 AACN target goal date for the transition to the DNP for APRNs Position statement supported by the stake-holders indicating the DNP as the appropriate degree for APRN s Certifying organizations have not mandated a DNP degree as a requirement for certification aacn.org 2
