Health and Human Performance Oregon State University, 1998 Option: Fitness Program Management Teaching Experience 2005-Present Loyola Marymount University Visiting Professor College of Science and Engineering Human Anatomy and Physiology Lectured for two separate classes. One is a year-long comprehensive investigation for students majoring in allied health. The second is a one semester survey for students majoring in psychology. Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab Developed the curriculum and organized the administration of three labs. This includes the supervision of three teaching assistants and cooperation of one fellow faculty member Oregon State University Instructor - College of Health and Human Sciences Undergraduate major s courses entitled: Professional Activities: Resistance Training Program Design Created new lecture and laboratory format, developed course outline, and novel student evaluation to mimic NSCA certification exam. Topics covered included: gross anatomy, anatomical kinesiology, and exercise physiology. Fitness Testing and Exercise Prescription Updated curriculum through implementation of new textbooks, instituted practical examinations in the laboratory setting, and created a new laboratory manual. Topics covered included: exercise physiology, comprehensive fitness testing (i.e. cardiorespiratory, muscular, body composition, flexibility), and exercise prescription for diverse populations.

2 Undergraduate non-major s courses in: Lifetime Fitness for Health Lectured to a course of 400 students on topics of cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, and nutrition. Lifetime Fitness for Health Labs Resistance Training Instructed resistance training program theory, design, technique, and implementation across a multitude of abilities and goals Oregon State University Graduate Teaching Assistant Lifetime Fitness for Health Labs Directed practical experience-based activities on topics of cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, nutrition, and stress management. Physical Activities Courses Taught classes for basketball and resistance training. Course Developer Lifetime Fitness for Health Labs Resistance Training Devised new laboratory curriculum from general wellness to focus specifically on the topic of resistance training; instructed program theory, design, technique, and implementation across a multitude of abilities and goals. Professional Experience 2003-present Oregon State University Course Developer Advisor and Co-creator of Take a Fitness Break product development through the Department of Distance and Continuing Education. This product is being created to provide an online work break by providing narrated video clips of stretching and strengthening exercises in the workstation Oregon State University Course Coordinator Baccalaureate Core course entitled: Lifetime Fitness for Health Organized the evaluation of over 3300 students per year. Duties included writing, editing, and production of all exams. Responsible for final grade tabulation and entry as well as all student grievance consultations. Supervised the administration of lab sections and the teaching assistant staff.
