We had a visiting prof last year who could do it for semesters, but there isn t anyone else now. It sounds great to have the voice students study the languages themselves. I ve had a few of them in my courses over the years; they are very motivated students. We will support the inclusion of language courses on the Music Department s APC proposals. The basic idea is that graduate students should have already taken two beginning foreign language courses in their undergraduate degree. They would need to take an additional beginning course for the M.M. Music Performance: Voice Degree. I am modifying our APC request to include the following language courses in the program of study.
