With a deeper understanding of the basic principles and practice of computer science, master s level students can lead the advancement of their discipline through nationally recognized research and graduate education as well as technology transfer to regional industries. Intended Educational (Student) Outcomes: 1. A thorough knowledge of the basic principles of computer science in hardware, software, and theory. 2. A deep and broad knowledge of issues involving computer architecture and hardware design. 3. To be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.

Use of Results to Improve Academic Program: Second Means of Assessment for Outcome Identified Above: _1_b. Means of Program Assessment & Criteria for Success: Assessment is done by evaluation of student performance using exams, quizzes, homework, course projects, and programming assignments on 8 courses in addition to the core courses.
