3 COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH PROJECTS Prague Quadrennial Festival of Scenography Theory box installation in collaboration with lighting designer Hansjörg Schmidt for international festival in Prague June 2011 Wearable Tech - September September 2001 Co-Director of a 3-person CSM research project on the interface between new technology and the body in current fashion and product design. Fashion & Modernity: stage 2 - July December 2004 Director of large project at UAL that expanded and developed Stage 1 (see below) by integrating history, theory and practice, bringing together 17 theoreticians, curators and practitioners from both CSM and the London College of Fashion Fashion & Modernity: stage 1 - July 1999-June 2000 Director of first stage of a CSM project with 5 researchers who investigated the relation of Western fashion to modernity from the late eighteenth-century to the present through a series of interlocking but distinct studies predicated on a critical relationship between theories of modernity and contemporary cultural theory and practice in fashion.
