1 You are about to apply for a Specializing Master program with us; in order to ensure that you complete the application process successfully, please read the following very carefully: A. Personal data 1: a. Under nationality/citizenship indicate the country issuing your passport, which may not correspond to your country of birth, nor current country of residence. b. Residence: please indicate here your country/state of residence, that is where you are fiscally liable to taxes. This may not correspond to your current mailing address (see Personal Data 2) B. Personal data 2: If you have a current and valid permit of stay / residence in Italy, please upload a copy of your Italian I.D. or copy of your permit of stay (only required for non-e.u. citizens) C. Application Type: a. Program type: please, select Degree- seeking b. Target Level of Study: please, select Graduate c. When would you like to start studying with us?: N.B: Masters in International Business; Corporate Communication; Luxury Goods Management (part time and full time), International Screenwriting and Production, International Marketing Management and Viticulture & Enology start in September. Masters in International Relations; International Cooperation & Development; Middle Eastern Studies; Economics and Finance and Arts Management start in January D. Degree-seeking section: a. Select the Faculty or School to which you are applying. You may select up to two programs. Your application will be considered for your first choice only; only in case of your application being unsuccessful, we will automatically consider you for the program of second choice. If you are a non-native speaker of English check the language requirements in our brochure b. If you wish to be considerd for a scholarship, select «Yes». You will be contacted in case of additional steps needed for scholarship consideration.

2 E. Academic Information: a. Education History: indicate how many years of formal mandatory schooling you have completed in your home country before accessing university level, e.g. Italy has 13 years from primary to High School, whereas other countries may have less, 11 or 12 years. b. High School info: this section is required if you are applying for a graduate program but you have had less than 12 years of mandatory schooling. c. College University 1: please, fill in with the information regarding the most recent College / University you have attended, and where you have completed or are in the process of completing your degree. Complete the information about College University 2 if you have transferred at any time during your undergraduate degree, or list here your undergraduate school if you have completed a previous graduate degree (listed under College University 1). d. Make sure you upload for each school or university you have attended a transcript of records and copy of your diploma/degree if available. If it is not available yet, you can leave this blank and your documentation once ready to international.inquiry@unicatt.it. If you have problems uploading your document because of size, please use the space provided in the additional documents upload section. F. Additional Academic Info: a. If applying for an English-taught program you must provide any English Proficiency test result you might have. If you have not yet obtained a certificate, please provide the scheduled test date. If you are native speaker of English or have had English as a medium of instruction at secondary or tertiary education level, please insert N/A in the test date section. b. Current year courses: if you have not yet graduated and your transcript is incomplete, you may indicate here the courses you are currently taking. This is recommended especially if it is coursework that is relevant towards the degree for which you are applying. c. Work Experience: please attach your updated CV. G. Additional Information: Agent: if applicable, make sure that you indicate the name, address and contact information of the agent or agency that has assisted you with the application process, or that is working with you in completing the admission s process to UCSC. H. Additional documents upload: Upload a copy of your passport (only the page with your personal details on).

Application Essay: Master in Corporate Communication / International Business / Arts Management / International Screenwriting and Production / International Marketing Management / Economics and Finance / Luxury Goods Management / Viticulture & Enology / Middle Eastern Studies applicants: Provide in at least a couple of paragraphs your primary motivations to study with us. Please try and indicate the academic and cultural benefits of your experience. If you have problems uploading your document because of size, please use the space provided in the additional documents upload section. Master in International Relations / International Cooperation & Development applicants: Please answer the following two questions and then the ones related to your Master s Program choice. 1) Explain your main motivations for applying to this Master. What are your expectations about it? 2) Which are your professional goals? Which sector are you mainly interested in? Master in International Relations (MIR) 3) Provide a definition of International Relations 4) According to you, which are the five main topics of the current international agenda? Justify each of them. Master in International Cooperation and Development (MIC&D) 3) Explain with your words what International Cooperation for Development means, providing a practical example 4) Identify a difficult aspect of your everyday life. How do you usually face it? 5) Report a situation in which you witnessed an episode of injustice. Did you react? How and why? J. Submission of Application: Upon submission of your application you will receive an acknowledging the successful process. If you are required to pay an application fee (see admission guidelines for details) you will receive a link to which you can process your online payment of the application fee. Note: if a 75 fee is applicable, your application will not be reviewed until confirmed receipt of your payment.

4 K. Supplemental Materials: a. Language certificates: when available, please make sure you submit the original English language report. In the case of TOEFL, please provide the TOEFL test Centre with the UCSC TOEFL code and request a copy to be sent to our office (address below). b. Recommendation Letters: For applications to all 1 year Masters: provide at least one academic letter of recommendation (you may submit a second reference, which could be from an employer if the work experience is relevant to the field of study). This letter can be uploaded in the online application form or can be ed from your referee to international.inquiry@unicatt.it or can be sent in a signed and sealed envelope to the address below: UCSC International Via Carducci 28/ Milan c. Transcripts: these are currently accepted in Italian, English or Spanish. If you need to translate the documents and you require a visa, we advise you to translate the documents in Italian as this will be required by the Italian Consulate/Embassy at the pre enrolment stage. Check List: Make sure you provide the following documents by uploading them in the dedicated sections. English Proficiency Test Report (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certification accepted) if applicable Transcript(s) from current home university (others may be required if student has transferred during undergraduate studies) Copies of diplomas/degrees if available At least one recommendation letter Passport copy Motivation questionnaire - Pay the application fee upon submission (if applicable). You will receive follow up s should supplemental materials be missing upon review, however you should expect to get a confirmation of admission or conditional admission no later than 4 6 weeks from the deadline by which the application is received. Uploading files electronically is the best way to ensure that turn-over time is respected.

5 STEP 2: Confirmation of Participation Admitted students will receive communication on their application outcome via . Students admitted to a Specializing Master before the third deadline will receive payment instructions to pay the deposit of EUR 500 to confirm their participation. They will be asked to pay the rest of the first installment approximately 3 months before the start of the program. Students admitted after the third deadline will be asked to pay the deposit and the first installment (it may vary according to the chosen program) with a single payment.
