1 Customer Online Self-service Guide Business Support Services This document is prepared for customers to log in CBBC s online self-service site to use Business Support Services. 2 Introduction Business Support Services Customer Guide 2016 The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is the UK government s chosen partner to deliver China business development services. We work closely with UK Trade & Investment, the British Embassy in Beijing and the British Consulates-General in Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Wuhan. CBBC has a presence in fifteen cities across Greater China, so our teams are well placed to assist you with your approach to the market. CBBC s expansive coverage across China, including representation in many regional cities, allows you to access our on-the-ground team to tap into their market intelligence and knowledge. CBBC s China team can provide: Market & Sector Reports Meeting Arrangement Market Research Local contacts Identification of market initiatives & opportunities In-market activities e.g. seminar, group visits Identification of potential partners e.g. agents, distributors Product Launch & Event organisation After completing an application form, a bespoke work plan and Quote will be developed and agreed with the project manager, who will be conducting the work on your behalf. Please note that costs will vary depending on specific requirements, focus and location. We would be happy to quote on an individual brief following a discussion on your specific requirements from the service. 3 Online Registration 1. Open a browser (ideally Firefox or Chrome), go to either or 2. At the top of the page, click Create Account Page 3

4 3. You are now on the online registration page: Please enter the following information: a. Username - address would be the best choice for username b. Address c. Individual details d. Company details e. Membership Application (If You are not an Existing CBBC Member) f. Click Create new account to submit the registration form g. Any field with * is compulsory Page 4

5 4. After completing your registration, you will receive an account activation a. The subject will be Account details for xxx b. The includes an account activation link c. You should receive the with no delay. Please check your junk mailbox if you do not receive the in your inbox d. Please click the link from the to go to the online reset password page e. Enter your new password. The password requirements are: i. Equals to or longer than 8 characters ii. Contains at least 1 digit iii. Contains at least 1 lowercase iv. Contains at least 1 uppercase 5. You are now logged into CBBC s online self-service website successfully Online Log In 1. Open a browser (ideally Firefox or Chrome), go to 2. At the top of the page, click Log in Now 3. Type in your username and password, then click Log in Page 5

6 Forget Password 1. Open a browser (ideally Firefox or Chrome), go to 2. At the top of the page, click Log in Now 3. Click the panel titled Request new password, and type in either your registered username and address 4. Click new password to receive an with a link for resetting password Page 6

7 5. If the system is not able to find your username or address, you will get the on-screen message telling you your username or address is not recognized as a user name or an address. 6. If the system cannot find your account, please click Create Account to register. Page 7

8 Submit A New BSS Enquiry 1. Please go to click Log in Now and type in your username and password 2. After successful log in, please click Business Support Services from the main menu, and then on the sub-menu click Submit a new Business Support Services Enquiry Page 8

9 3. If you are UKTI ITA and you are representing your client to submit a BSS, please make sure you have registered your client's profile, and put his/her address on this form. 4. To submit a BSS you need to answer 8 questions in detail: a. Your Product or Services b. Objectives c. Added Value d. Additional Information e. Representation f. Existing Representative g. Contacts Not To Approach h. Disclosure To CBBC Contacts Page 9

10 5. After you click the Submit button, you will see a confirmation message on screen. Page 10

11 Review A Quotation 1. Please go to click Log in Now and type in your username and password 2. After successful log in, please click Business Support Services from the main menu, and then on the sub-menu click Review Quotation Page 11

12 3. On the Review Quotation page: a. Please make sure your company is selected from the pull down list b. Click the quotation file name to open, save and review the file. c. Click Accept button to accept the quotation. If not, click Decline button. d. If you have accepted the quotation, please click the large payment button on the right side of the page to complete the online credit card payment Page 12

13 Online Credit/Debit Card Payment 1. On the payment page, please click the item for your BSS payment 2. On the payment details page please double check the payment amount and click Confirm. 3. You will be directed to the secure sagepay online credit card payment gateway. Please select the card type you want to use and fill in all the details to complete the online payment. Click on confirm card details to complete the process. Page 13
