2 Workshop Descriptions th Quarter Workshops are a way for PDS to ensure our clients are getting all the value possible of the tools they have. This series of 1-hour workshops are limited to 10 participants to allow time for question and answers. It s easy to register, just send an to workshops@pds-online.com indicating the workshop(s) you wish to attend. PDS DASH: PDS DASH makes quick work of your dashboarding needs. Leveraging metrics from your existing business intelligence or reporting tools, you can quickly create, publish and automate professional looking dashboards ready for publication or distribution. Topics include: an overview of DASH, building a DASH project, different type of data sources, run modes (test vs. publish) and a few dashboards tips. Understanding the IBM Cognos 7 Toolset: This workshop will explain the 3 tools that comprise the Cognos 7 tool set and their various uses. Cognos PowerPlay for cube analysis and slice and dice and drill through Cognos Impromptu for ad hoc query reporting and access to patient detail Cognos Transformer for building and maintaining cubes for analysis with Cognos PowerPlay The workshop will conclude with why you might consider upgrading from Cognos 7 to Cognos 10. Understanding the IBM Cognos 10 Web Toolset: Learn about the various Studios available within the Cognos 10 tool set and how they can be used to create reports, dashboards and provide powerful analysis for end users. This workshop is geared to provide an overall understanding of the various applications and their primary functions. You will see functional demonstrations of the various reporting capabilities as they relate to current healthcare challenges. PDS Producer: Join us for a demonstration of building a Producer dashboard. Topics include: overview of features and functions, setting up a dashboard job, mapping data, and running a dashboard job. PDS DASH Advanced: PDS DASH Advanced was created for the licensed DASH user who is actively creating dashboards. Topics include: advanced DASH concepts, best practice formats for data sources, and obtaining data from your BI tools. There will be open discussion amongst attendees for sharing their dashboard challenges and solutions.

3 Microsoft SQL Basics Introduction: This workshop offers an overview on the essentials of understanding and writing SQL Code. Learn basic installation and setup along with other functions using SQL Server Management Studio as the platform.
