10 Media Server Web Interface Avaya Installation Wizard The Installation Wizard is intended to assist you in the installation and upgrade processes for S8x00 Media Servers and H.248 Gateways (ie G250, G350, and G700). It is designed to get the system up and running in a basic installation as quickly as possible. Is intended for systems that have a Media Server (ICC or LSP or ESS) with the gateways (local or remote locations). Uses wizards as well as pre-compiled Excel spreadsheets for data importation 10 - Session 715

11 Media Server Web Interface Avaya Gateway Installation Wizard The Gateway Installation Wizard Installation Wizard is intended to assist you in the installation and upgrade processes for H.248 Gateways (ie G250, G350, and G700). It is intended for gateways that are controlled by a remote Media Server, but do not have a S8300 Media Server locally. Uses wizards as well as pre-compiled Excel spreadsheets for data importation 11 - Session 715

20 Media Server Server Configuration This is where you set up things like DNS and NTP Unless you re setting up the server for the first time, you should use the configure individual services option Session 715

21 Media Server Data Backup/Restore Schedule daily/weekly backups to an onsite and/or offsite FTP server. It is recommended that you encrypt the file. Just do NOT lose the passphrase or the backup will be unusable. As of ACM 3.0, ing of translations is no longer supported Session 715

23 Media Server Use as a TFTP Server Available ONLY on Simplex servers (S8300, S8500, etc). Requires some Linux access There are a few ways to do this depending on the tools available 23 - Session 715

24 Media Server Use as a TFTP Server If there are only a few file, I like to use the Download Files section of the Web Management tool. Doing it this way drops it into a very specific directory on the Linux server (/var/home/ftp/pub/) 24 - Session 715

25 Media Server Use as a TFTP Server Through the Linux login, you can go to that directory and see the files that you previously uploaded Change Directory: cd /var/home/ftp/pub List the files in the current directory: ls -l 25 - Session 715

26 Media Server Use as a TFTP Server We need to move the files to the root directory of the TFTP server (which is /diskroot/tftpboot/) Move files: mv sourcefilename destinationdirectory Ours would be: mv 46xxsettings.txt /diskroot/tftpboot/ 26 - Session 715 We can then change to the TFTP directory and verify the transfer.
