2 TOURISM ENHANCEMENT FUND DEVELOPMENT LOAN The Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) Development loan programme is available to assist small hotels, attractions, villas and apartment owners in Jamaica to expand and develop their properties. Thirty percent (30%) of the loan proceeds may be used to assist the applicant in becoming tax compliant. The maximum loan available under this programme is $3,000, at an interest rate of 3% per annum for a maximum of 5 years with a maximum moratorium of 3 months. The securities accepted for the TEF Development Loan are: Promissory Note Third party guarantee 2
