1 STS Congenital Quality Module - Center Data Version 1.0 This document current as of: 05/21/2012 2:00:11 PM STS Congenital Quality Module - Center Data Version: 1.0 Bedside multidisciplinary rounds BedRounds Section Name: Center Data (Structure Measures) SeqNo: 100 Indicate whether your institution has bedside multidisciplinary rounds (including cardiac surgery, cardiology, critical care, and nursing) on all pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery patients who are in the intensive care unit. Recommended participation includes but not limited to: cardiac surgery, cardiology, critical care, primary caregiver, family, nurses, pharmacist and respiratory therapist. Involvement of the family is encouraged. Minimum daily participation to satisfy the measure must include participation by ALL of the following rounding at the bedside as a group: cardiac surgery, cardiology, critical care, and nursing. Cardiac surgery, cardiology, and critical care participation must include participation by the attending physician; fellow or resident participation alone does not satisfy the measure. Participation of a physician double boarded in critical care and cardiology satisfies the requirement for both cardiology and critical care participation. Nursing participation requires routine participation by both the Charge Nurse and the patient s bedside nurse. Parent Integer 1 Yes 2 No Page 1 of 15
