4 rewards growth industry advancement program A key component of Sedgwick s ability to staff large programs is our in-house claims college and our proprietary industry advancement program (IAP). The IAP includes concentrated classroom and on-the-job training for college graduates and internal colleagues to prepare them for claims professional trainee careers at Sedgwick. The IAP is conducted in two phases over a four-month period. Phase 1 includes two to three weeks of claims college. During Phase II, trainees continue learning through a combination of textbook and workbook assignments in addition to handling a caseload with guidance from a mentor and supervisor. internships at sedgwick Entry-level talent for careers in claims management is in high demand across the nation. Sedgwick has designed our internship program primarily for college students who may not know exactly where to begin their career path, helping them learn more about our challenging and rewarding career options. Through opportunities in our offices across the U.S., student interns can learn about the claims process in areas such as workers compensation, commercial and general liability, disability, and professional liability.
