8 8 Oil Only Critical Response and Spill Clean Up The following products will help compliance with 29 CFR (j)(1), 40 CFR 112.7(C)(1), 40 CFR (a), and 40 CFR Critical Spill Clean Up and Response products are items that are used in the response and clean up of a spill that has been contained and the need of critical application items is needed to clean up the spill off the water. Spaghetti boom, Sweep, Snare and Pom Poms all serve a specific task depending on the environmental conditions and grade of hydrocarbons. Below are the specialty items that are used for spills, and are they are now finding there way into main stream maintenance programs. SPAGHETTI BOOM ABBCO Spaghetti Boom allows thick oils to penetrate deeply into the boom, by allowing greater flow through the material. The mesh net and spaghetti strip filler are specially designed to contain and attract thick oils. Spaghetti Boom are normally used in fast currents and cold waters. Also, these may be used in other applications such as in water separators, storm drains, collection ponds, wells and many more other special purposes. Lower a bilge boom into your bilge, sump, catch basin or tank to remove oil, not water. Bilge booms float on top of the water, even when completely saturated.
