2 M y teeth were very small and stained from drinking mineralized well water. They were so soft and brittle I didn t have a single tooth in my mouth without a restoration. I kept going to the dentist to have things fixed. I also had a lot of TMJ problems. My jaw kept locking open and I had to go to the emergency room to have it fixed. I was dizzy, had neck pain, jaw pain, sore teeth, sore jaw muscles and ear problems all the typical symptoms! I never thought about getting it all fixed. It just seemed like something to keep repairing as it came up. That s not how it works with Dr. Crosby. He goes right to the source. When I was a kid, my dentist wasn t very nice or accommodating. It is wonderful to have a dentist like Dr. Crosby who is gentle and cares about how I feel. Dr. Crosby gave me a full mouth reconstruction and I love it! 3 I had tetracycline staining that I had been trying to brighten for 20 years! Dr. Crosby performed a full mouth restoration. He is very conscientious about the perfection and detail of his work. 4 W e are all the worst critics of our appearance and I was very conscious of my teeth. I had central crowns that didn t fit and my gum line looked quite noticably dark. A smile is the first thing I see on people and I think it is important for a smile to look good. Mine didn t, so I never smiled broadly. I had been a patient in the previous practice and Dr. Crosby was highly recommended. When I decided to have something done, it was easy to choose Dr. Crosby. 5 M y teeth were straight but short, one tooth had been chipped and the repair didn t match. I was getting married and I felt that my teeth just looked awful. 6 I have been a patient of Dr. Crosby s for years so when it was time to have my teeth whitened, I naturally came to him. I am 60 years old and my teeth were looking yellow. 7 M y smile was gray! I care a lot about my appearance so this really bothered me. I was so self-conscious about it. 8 I was at Dr. Crosby s office working on the phone I had a chipped tooth that was gradually chipping more and more, so while I was there I looked at examples of his work and talked to one of his patients. 9 I love my morning cup of coffee; unfortunately, my teeth don t love it nearly as much. Before visiting Dr. Crosby, I used whitening strips religiously, brushed with whitening toothpaste and tried just about anything under the sun to brighten up my smile, but I still wasn t experiencing the results I desired. I was preparing to compete in front of millions of people on NBC in the Miss USA competition. This competition was stressful enough without also having to worry about a less than brilliant smile. 11 I had lost some teeth in the back, had spaces in the front and I was starting to get self-conscious. I just didn t care for the way I looked when I smiled. My wife met Dr. Crosby at the Rotary Club and recommended that I see him for my dentistry. I feel very comfortable with him. His office is state-of-the-art and he is very concerned about the health and well being of his patients. He takes his time, discusses everything about the procedures and he makes sure you know he is listening to you too. I had 16 upper and lower veneers placed. 12 I was in an accident when I was younger and my crowns didn t match or reach all the way to my gums. I never smiled as widely as I used to because I didn t want to expose my gum line. My wife is a dental assistant, and since she is in the dental business, she really noticed the problem. 14 Dr. Richard Crosby is a graduate of Northwestern Dental School. Since his graduation in 1997, he has completed several courses on occlusion and cosmetic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). Dr. Crosby has taught classes in Pharmacology to dental hygiene students at the University of Alaska in Anchorage. He has given presentations to local community groups, such as the Alaska Club and Rotary, and he is a member of Anchorage South Rotary Club.
