Director of Music Technology and Associate Department Head Grades 6 through 12. Created a state-of-the-art music lab and developed a music technology curriculum for middle and high school students. Designed curriculum to explore musicianship through the use of acoustic and electronic instruments, computers and a plethora of music and multimedia software (MIDI sequencing and digital audio, notation, CAI, PowerPoint, QuickTime and digital video editing), and research using the Internet. Focused this collaborative learning environment on developing critical listening and thinking skills through composition, improvisation and performance activities. Dean s Award for Excellence in Teaching 2006 Professional Education Division, Berklee College of Music The Teachers Network: Impact II Web Project New York, NY 1999 Brooklyn is chosen as one of twelve Time Warner Art Fellowship projects to be featured on this nationwide, non-profit educational organization s website. Time Warner Arts Fellow New York, NY 1998 Summer fellowship program for K-12 art teachers in the New York City Metropolitan area. Spent six weeks working exclusively on a self-designed multimedia project that combined digital video, digital audio, and original music.
