2 Undergraduate degrees Bachelor of 3 Feb S A $26,500 Bachelor of with Honours 1 Feb E $26,500 Become a highly skilled, musically adaptable, creative musician. In this degree you are exposed to diverse musical styles including classical, contemporary and world music. Learn aural awareness, music theory, and music literature. Undertake ensemble work appropriate to your field of study. Study an instrument (including brass band instruments), voice, or composition, in either classical or jazz strands. Upon graduation you can apply for a graduate entry teacher preparation program. Second year: you have the option to divide your major between two areas. Elective study areas include: Composition Conducting Contemporary Keyboard Accompaniment Industry Studies Literature Technology Theory and Aural Studies Opera and al Theatre Studies Pedagogy performance by the applicant and the person in charge of the recording session. You may audition on more than one instrument; however, if successful, your offer will only be for one of your audition areas. It may also be possible to arrange live auditions during the year; OR as: an instrumentalist or vocalist. Graduates have a clear understanding of what is required by instrumental and vocal ensembles and companies, orchestras, theatre, media, the entertainment industry and community arts. Pathways to further study Approved students who gain the required GPA in the Bachelor of program will be eligible to transfer to the Bachelor of in Performance or Bachelor of in Composition. Students who progress to complete the Bachelor of (three year program) are not eligible for admission to the Bachelor of in Performance or the Bachelor of in Composition.
