The resources included here have been determined to meet a general standard for credibility/validity as appropriate substance abuse prevention and/or treatment resources in that they were recommended by organizations (or their representatives) which have accountability to use evidence-based approaches to address substance prevention/use/abuse needs. This list is updated regularly. To make comments or recommend additional resources, public_health_info@jeffco.us. Conducts urine drug screening specific to marijuana/thc. Using the 12 step platform, meetings and other support activities of Alcoholics Anonymous provide help to to those suffering from alcoholism. The website has downloadable literature and information about alcoholism and recovery. The Denver office has a hotline for information about A.A. and where to find meetings. "Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism" Approach to Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment program (SBIRT) Arapahoe House (303) All SBIRT, Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment program, as indicated by the title, screens, intervenes and refers individuals who have not yet reached the stage of abusing substances. They partner with health care facilities throughout the state and targets non-dependent drug users. Arapahoe House is a nonprofit organization that provides treatment for drugs and alcohol. Their services include outpatient care, inpatient/residential treatment, DUI education in several languages, and detoxification. They accept most health insurance plans and have 13 centers throughout the state. BI Incorporated (303) BI Incorporated is licensed by Colorado s Department of Human Services to provide court referred alcohol education (DUI Classes) and an array of therapy programs. Offers classes on parenting, mental health, relapse prevention and more (for clients participating in treatment programs). Has a location in Lakewood.

2 CeDAR - Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation; (720) ; CO Department of Education ʺSchool Health Professionalsʺ grant programs for prevention, screening and intervention services (303) Colorado Crisis Center phone: TALK (8255) Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health (303) Adults (18+); Denver Metro Schools All ages Colorado All - Colorado Addiction treatment center located on the Anchutz Medical Campus (part of University of Colorado Health) that treats individuals aged 18+ with services ranging from assessment and detoxification to residential treatment. Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR), we offer comprehensive and compassionate care to help individuals age 18 and over conquer addiction and kick start a lifetime of good health and wellness. We offer evaluation, detoxification, residential treatment and family week programs, as well as outpatient programs, aftercare groups and psychiatric services. Special addiction rehab services are available for healthcare and other professionals. This grant aims to increase the number of health professionals in high schools. This will eventually increase the provision of health care to students with mental or behavioral difficulties due to substance abuse and education on substance abuse education. The grantees have a focus on reducing the risk of marijuana and other forms of substance abuse. A 24/7 call and walk-in service that connects clients to trained specialists. Their goal is to provide immediate responses to mental distress, substance abuse or information requests. Office of Behavioral Health. Provides information about area screening and treatment resources. Also offers programs that focus on the prevention of drug abuse as well as increasing public awareness of this issue. They evaluate the effectiveness of their programs by assessing outcomes. There is information on prevention programs as well as intervention programs. Colorado Quit Line QUIT-NOW Creative Treatment Options (303) All - Colorado Provides tobacco cessation coaching and educational information about the effects of tobacco on health and and evidence based approaches to quitting tobacco. Cessation coaching includes assistance with medication to help people quit. This is a free resource for Coloradoans. To receive the phone coaching support you must be 18 or older. Younger callers can get help with tobacco-related information and referrals to youth-focused resources. Providers can refer people to the Colorado Quitline using a fax referral form available at their website coquitline.org. All ages; Denver area Among a wide range of services is substance abuse treatment. The services include relapse prevention that aims to help clients learn skills to achieve sobriety; a marijuana abstinence program that is structured as a 20-week program; level 2 poly-drug education; behavioral therapy; outpatient programs; and a course on self-improvement.

3 Denver Family Therapy Center (303) Dr. Paula Riggs - 'Encompass' Treatment Program Youth and some adult Programs include Youth Drug Alcohol Prevention and Education Program (Y- DAP); Adoloescent Substance Abuse Treatment (ASAP) and adult therapy programs. Program for first-time drug/alcohol offenders. Drug and alcohol prevention and education program for adolescents, young adults, and families. It also provides an opportunity to have your charges dismissed and no criminal/juvenile record showing a conviction for the offense. Substance abuse treatment for adolescents is also available, as well as mental health outpatient services for youth, adults, older adults and families. High school students (specifically students at Adams City High School) This a unique treatment program in Adams City High School in Commerce City. Students can use the treatment program (with parent approval) in lieu of suspension. Genesis Counseling (303) Intervention, Inc Jefferson Center for Mental Health Marijuana Anonymous - Denver meetings Adults - Jefferson and Metro Adults Denver Metro The Genesis counseling program aims to help individuals attain non-violent, drug free lives through special programs. There is a marijuana specific treatment class for both adults and adolescents. They also provide court ordered classes. As a non-profit organization, Intervention, Inc. is statutorily able to provide community service placement for offenders sentenced by the court. In addition to comprehensive services (assessment, residential community corrections, case planning, monitoring, pre-trial and post-sentencingsupervision, etc.), also offers several drug testing locations in the Denver Metro area that offer accommodating testing hours. This includes a 24hr testing facility in Lakewood. The Jefferson Center for Mental Health (JCMH) offers a variety of programs, classes, therapy, counseling, case management, recovery groups, and medication management services to address mental health needs and substance abuse problems. JCMH is a partner with Colorado Crisis Services, a 24/7, state-wide crisis network offering a hotline, walk-in centers and mobile services throughout the state, for any mental health, substance use or emotional crisis. Using the 12 step platform, meetings and other support activities of Marijuana Anonymous provide help to to those suffering from marijuana dependence. The website includes helpful literature and information for people interested in learning more about marijuana dependence and recovery. There are several face to face meetings in the Metro area, as well as phone meetings and video chat meetings (see website for information about these meeting options).

The website includes helpful literature and information for people interested in learning more about narcotics dependence and recovery. There is a local hotline for help, as well as several face to face meetings in thh Metro area, as well as phone meetings which can be accessed at at naphone.org or naphonemeetings.blogspot.com. All Denver Metro The NIC has programs aimed at therapeutically helping adults and adolescents rehabilitate during mandatory court-ordered treatment for a variety of offenses. There is a "marijuana abstinence group" for adolescents only and a one-day class on marijuana abstinence, open to all ages. Adults - Colorado Teens ages All Youth (13-18) Denver Metro Adults (18 +) - Denver Metro Adult women - Denver Metro Using the Alcoholics Anonymous platform, this non-profit has a 12-step program that helps individuals to stop using nicotine. Website directs people to area meetings, phone and internet meetings and recovery resources Not on Tobacco (N-O-T) is a 10-week voluntary smoking cessation program for teens years of age supported by the American Lung Association. The American Lung Association of Colorado provides a one day training for school counselors, nurses, and others to implement N-O-T at their high schools or youth based organizations. Signal is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing substance abuse treatment services that are accessible, affordable, and efficacious for consumers of these services. Through effective management and coordination of services, Signal aims to increase efficiencies across substance abuse service systems, to strengthen linkages between human services systems and providers, and to more closely tailor services to the needs and strengths of consumers. Provides treatment for youth ages 13-18, with conduct disorders or substance dependencies and their families. West Pines serves adults 18 and older with psychiatric or chemical dependency concerns. West Pines also offers treatment for dual diagnoses (those with both psychiatric and chemical dependency concerns). Treatment focuses on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual well being of patients. Specializing in methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opioid dependence. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services also available for offenders and specialized treatment for clients involved with the social services/child welfare system

5 Wiz-Quiz (303) All - Lakewood and Statewide Wiz-Quiz provides drug-testing services for employers, courts, parents, schools and individuals (inclusive of urine drug screening specific to marijuana/thc). Offers urine and hair testing as screening options, substance abuse assessments, and rapid screening kits for home use.
