Exelis also provides technical support, service, training, and maintenance for our products to maximize customer benefits and usability. Exelis now offers the F6015 Series (AN/PVS-14) Monocular Night Vision Device (MNVD) in a light-weight single-battery configuration. The singlebattery configuration delivers the same features and versatility as the earlier dual-battery F6015 in a lighter weight monocular, providing greater mobility and comfort under normal operational conditions. The single-battery F6015 is being offered as a replacement for the dualbattery configuration. DESCRIPTION The Exelis F6015 MNVD is designed for use by the individual soldier in a variety of ground-based night operations. It features the superior performance of the Gen 3 F9815 image intensifier tube with a variable gain control to achieve an optimum balance in the images seen by both eyes. The dark-adapted unaided eye provides situational awareness and vision of closerange objects, while the night vision aided eye provides long-range vision of potential threats and targets. This visual flexibility enables the soldier to move quietly and effectively under all night conditions.for weapon firing, the F6015 can be mounted on a MIL STD-1913 weapon rail behind a standard collimated dot sight, such as the EOTech Model 550. The Exelis Gen 3 F9815 Series (MX-11769) image intensifier tubes are designed for use in the AN/PVS-14 Monocular Night Vision Device. Exelis offers a selection of tubes, providing different performance levels, to satisfy a wide range of customer specifications and to comply with the U.S. DoS and DoD guidelines for Gen 3 export. DESCRIPTION Exelis Gen 3 F9815 Series 18-mm image intensifier consists of a high-efficiency GaAs photocathode bonded to a glass input window, a microchannel plate (MCP) current amplifier, and a P-43 phosphor screen deposited on an inverting fiber optic output window. The Gen 3 photocathode is very sensitive to low-radiation levels of visible and, especially, near infrared light. It also provides very high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for extended detection ranges at very low light levels as well as variable gain to optimize performance in the AN/PVS-14. The 6-micron channel spacing in Exelis MCP provides exceptional resolution and extended detection ranges in low-light conditions. The MCP has an ion-barrier film that preserves photocathode sensitivity during operation, greatly extending the life of Gen 3 tubes compared to Gen 2. EXPORT MODELS Exelis offers two F9815 models for export. A figure of merit (FOM) is an important consideration in determining the maximum performance level allowed for export. FOM is the product of resolution, in line pairs per millimeter (lp/mm) multiplied by SNR as measured by U.S. industry standards. Two important FOM thresholds are 1250 and > The F9815P tube has 1600 FOM and meets the Omnibus IV specifications. Low profile battery pack > The F9815J tube is similar to the F9815P, but has a reduced SNR to meet 1250 FOM. 46 Our next-generation UHF radios provide real-time audio/ video capture and live streaming functionality. Created for field situations in which critical information must be documented and transmitted on-the-go. These Exelis systems are capable of transferring voice and data across dismounted networks spanning 6 km, as well as inside tunnels, ship cargo holds, buildings and in fast moving vehicles.

47 Soldier Systems SpearNet Team Member Radio 53-58

48 SpearNet Team Member Radio Today s dismounted Soldier needs compact and secure networked communications not limited by traditional radio frequency line of sight. The Exelis SpearNet is a 21st century communications system bringing voice, situational awareness (SA) and inter-networking access that surpasses traditional point-to-point communication system limitations on range and data rate. WIRELESS INTEGRATION SpearNet s mobile ad hoc network provides voice, integrated GPS with SA reporting, and data transfer ( Kbps) across dismounted networks spanning 6 km. SpearNet maintains voice and data communications within difficult environments such as tunnels, ship cargo holds, fast moving vehicles, and buildings. SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL (SIP)/VOICE OVER INTER- NET PROTOCOL (VOIP) NETWORKS SpearNet includes SIP/VoIP for interconnection with telephone networks. SIP provides the ability, when connected with a backhaul such as SATCOM and a SIP server, for the deployed Soldier to speak directly and securely with his in-country commanders. Also available are high speed data transfer (>1 Mbps for video surveillance or mission plans) and selectable GPS position reporting. Connecting a PDA or laptop will allow the Soldier to view updated images supporting what he is actually seeing with his own eyes. This can assist with rapid tactical decision making when timing is critical. SPEARNET VEHICULAR MOUNT (SNVM) Mounted forces can also benefit from SpearNet with a 20 watt power amplifier vehicle adapter. This significantly increases the point-to-point and the overall networking range of the radio system. Testing has shown a minimum of 8 km point-to-point range with SNVM. Sustained links of up to 16 km have been demonstrated. A networking range of km can be expected with properly placed relays. The SNVM contains two ethernet, one USB, a vehicular intercom, vehicular loudspeaker, and remote control unit interfaces. IP INFRASTRUCTURE Simple to use, lightweight and robust, this radio works using an IP infrastructure communication system. SpearNet can be configured as an Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) router connecting its RF, Ethernet, and USB interfaces to allow seamless interconnection of IP compliant computers, sensors, cameras, and other tactical networks. Each radio is AES 256-bit encrypted, providing each individual soldier with secure communications from any potential enemy. MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKING (MANET) SpearNet is a MANET radio, which maximizes net coverage at all times, especially in urban environments and conditions where normal one-hop/point-to-point radios are unable to maintain coherent network coverage. Being a low latency multi-hop radio means that the range is only required to the next Soldier. Having multiple active SpearNet radios creates a network and consequently the range is extended. The Soldier does not need to manually update the radio; it is self-healing and rapidly updates the network as connectivity changes. This is transparent to the individual Soldier who can concentrate on his primary task without the worry of a no-comms scenario. 55 Beyond Line-of-Sight Global Network On the Move - Active Distribution (GNOMAD ) Spearhead High Frequency (HF) Radio 65-68

56 Global Network On the Move - Active Distribution (GNOMAD ) Today s battlefield requires a network extended to the tactical edge. Ensuring the Commander has access to mission command capabilities and intelligence/situational Awareness (SA) information when operating in remote, austere, inhospitable environments is the reason Exelis created GNOMAD. The Exelis Global Network On the Move Active Distribution (GNOMAD) provides a secure, affordable, modular, and expandable mobile Point of Presence (POP), or network extension, to support critical communications needs worldwide. With more than 570,000 fielded SINCGARS, GNOMAD provides the capability to extend the SINCGARS waveform beyond line of sight on the battlefield to deliver information to the next echelon via satellite link. GNOMAD consists of two primary components a lowprofile, U.S. FCC-licensed satellite antenna and a modular, open-architecture baseband modular chassis which can be installed on various military and civilian vehicles. GNOMAD has successfully undergone extensive environmental testing, to include rough-road course testing, temperature extremes, and sand and salt spray. The centerpiece of the GNOMAD terminal is a low-profile, fully on-the-move capable antenna offering transmit data rates of up to 512 Kbps and receive data rates of up to 2 Mbps. GNOMAD uses commercially-available bandwidth over Ku-band satellites. The low-profile antenna reduces specific targeting of Command and Control (C2) vehicles, ensures turret gunners have a 360 degree field of fire, and is easily moved between vehicle platform types. With in-progress upgrades to Ku/X and Ku/Ka switchable variants, Exelis is working to provide users access to military satellites including Worldwide Global Satcom (WGS) and others, to help mitigate bandwidth costs. The baseband package, built by partner DTECH LABS, LLC, uses an open architecture approach integrating Commercialoff-the-Shelf (COTS) components to provide a system that supports a variety of line-of-sight radios and satellite modems. GNOMAD has completed testing, and is fully capable of operating with on-the-move capable variants of idirect, Viasat LinkwayS2, Hughes, COMTECH, and L3 modems. Connect other transport systems (e.g. Exelis High Capacity Data Radio or Spearnet Radio) to support push and pull of full-motion video as well as critical C2 applications for dismounted Soldiers through GNOMAD as a mobile POP. GNOMAD has been fully tested by U.S. Government personnel and is capable of providing secure voice, video, and data communications over satellite. The generator power system includes a power transfer module that provides the intermediate connection point between the generator/shore power and the shelter. while housing the following components: automatic back-up power when deployed and running on generators only or when in station and connected to shore power. The ATS also controls the startup and shutdown of the generators. A manually operated cable reel assembly is provided for cable storage. The power system has an EPO switch, that when activated, will shut down power to the shelter and shut down the Generators when in use. > Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) > Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) > Main I/O Panel > Auxiliary I/O panel The ATS provides switching between generator one and the output of the MTS. The MTS provides switching between generator two and shore power. This configuration provides automatic switching between generator one and generator two or between shore power and generator one depending on the selection of the MTS. This provides the shelter with PAINT FINISHES Shelter Interior Ceiling Semi-gloss White Color number per MIL-PRF-22750F, Type I Interior Walls Semi-gloss Green Color number per MIL-PRF-22750F, Type I Shelter Exterior and Interior of Personnel Door Chemical Agent Resistive Coating (CARC) per MIL-DTL Power System Components CARC per MIL-DTL Pallets CARC per MIL-DTL SYSTEM EQUIPMENT Cable Reel Generator Power Transfer Module ECS Refrigerator 108
