Admission System - Academic System Semester System Credits The number of credits assigned to each subject is determined as follows :- 1. The lecture or discussion consuming 15 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. 2. The laboratory or practice consuming 30 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. 3. The training practice or field study consuming 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. - Language Use THAI Language 5. Duration of Study The duration of study 4-8 years 6. PHEH 402 Environmental Health Management and Supervision Series of lectures on basic administration principles in the areas of environmental health, planning, implementation, evaluation and personnel development of different levels of health organizations. PHEH 403 Field Observation in Environmental Health The students are required to observe and participate in the work of various health activities in Thailand. The purpose of this course is to familiarize the students with the practical aspects of public health work especially in environmental health. PHEH 404 Air Pollution and Its Control This course deals with the following topics: air pollution problems, meteorology of air pollution, characteristics and effects of air pollution, air pollution survey and control methods, public nuisance and control methods. PHEH 406 Food Sanitation 4(3-1) Principles of food hygiene and sanitation, sanitation of eating and drinking establishments, cleaning and bacteriological treatment of utensils and equipment. Sources of food, transportation, processing and control test. Food-borne disease and the legal aspects of food control. Milk, meat, sea food, canned food, restaurant, ice plants, bottling plant and market sanitation. Food preservation are also included. (Environmental Sanitation) 2. Philosophy & Objectives Graduates of the programme are expected to be highly qualified scholars who possess a strong theoretical knowledge base, ethical, social and moral characteristics as well as creative skills and holistic perspective to the environmental quality management and control. Graduates will be professionals who can be relied upon to provide the government, non-government and private sectors with critical appraisals that balance the competing interests of development projects. The objectives of the programme include : 1) Prepare environmental quality management and control personnel with the Knowledge and skill required for the prevention and control of environmental sanition problems as well as the ability of function and educators and planners in the field of Environmental Health or Sanitation 2) Prepare graduates with deep understanding of environmental complication and necessary of integrated approached in Environment and Health 3) Prepare graduates who are able to conduct research concerning environmental problems and development in Thailand 3.
