1 Mod AA brochure_corso_aggiornamento rev. 01 del 19/11/2012 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER COURSE (OHSMC) 16 HOURS INTRODUCTION According to the clause 37 of D.Lgs. 81/08 all the workers (Managers, employees, supervisors, generic workers) have to be trained on OH&S principles in adequate and specific way, according to the personal duties and obligations. It is also stated that the training on OH&S has to be up-dated periodically (up to a total of at least 6 h of training actions in 5 years time). The content of this OHSMC (as the duration) is coherent with the criteria added to the clause 37 of D.Lgs. 81/08 from the Accordo Stato Regioni of December 21 st 2011, published in GU n.8 of January 11 th 2012 WHO SHOULD APPLY This course is a mandatory training course for all managers; they are required to go through this course before taking up their position everywhere (factory or office, etc.) and in any case not later than 60 days after the beginning of their occupational duties. This OHSMC gives a user-friendly introduction to fundamental rules in OH&S in companies of any kind and sector. The acquired competences in OH&S have to be maintained and up-to-date through training actions for a total amount of 6h in the following 5 years, like all workers and supervisors. LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the course, the participants will be able to understand the business benefits of health and safety procedures. This OHSMC is ideal for helping companies ensure their managers have the necessary knowledge and skills in OH&S to effectively manage relations consistent with their role and duties so that they can gain competences on effective OH&S and the necessary checks and assessments that constantly have to be carry out in the workplace and the results that have to reported upward in the organization. COURSE OUTLINE 1. JUDICIAL - NORMATIVE (4 hours) legislative system about workers' safety; supervision authorities and inspecting procedures; subjects of company prevention system according to D.Lgs. n. 81/08: tasks, duties, responsibilities and assurance protection; functions delegation; civil and penal responsibility and assurance protection; administrative responsibilities of organizations, companies and associations, even if without legal responsibilities, according to D.Lgs 231/01; enterprises qualification system and score license in building industry;

SECURITY ORGANIZATION AND DIRECTION (4 hours) examples of health and safety management system (article 30 D.Lgs. n. 81/08); handing technique/administrative documentation; obligations in contracts; fire prevention, first aid and emergency management; civil and penal responsibility and assurance protection; business qualification systems and score license in building industry; different ways in organizing and exercising the supervision according to comma 3bis of art. 18 del D.Lgs. n. 81/08; the role of the Safety officer and the safety department staff; 3. FINDING AND RECKONING RISKS (4 hours) standards and instruments for risk assessment; work related stress risk; risks related to gender, age, country origin and different job contract; interferential risk and contract risk management; technical, organizing and procedural preventive and protective measures, according to risk assessment; near misses and employees and supervisors involvement ; personal protective equipment; medical surveillance; 4. EMPLOYEES TRAINING, COMUNICATION AND CONSULTING relational skills and role awareness; information, training and formation strategic relevance, as instruments for company knowledge; communication techniques; team work and conflict management; consulting and involvement of safety workers representatives; character, functions and designation procedure of safety workers representatives METHODOLOGY Interactive approach, assuming the central role of the manager in the learning process: practical examples, discussion on case histories, team work, will be used. Participants will receive specific off sale documentation about the covered topics. The minimum teacher/student ratio is 1:24. COURSE 16-hour-course + final assessment FINAL LEARNING ASSESSMENT The course ends with the release of a final written multiple-choice test. COURSE CERTIFICATION A certificate will be issued to the participants with at least 90% attendance, after the release of final assessment results at the end of the course.
