5 GAINING ACCESS TO RUUDDESIGNSTAR.COM Go to MyRuud.com Home page and click on Applications Click on CIMS Your Ruud distributor can provide access to Ruud DesignStar at MyRuud.com by following these easy steps. Contractors should contact their Ruud distributor representative to gain access. 5

7 Select the contractor from the drop-down menu If user name appears, click Request DesignStar Access 7

9 The user will receive notification of access User name is your address; Password is designstar, one word, lower case. Do not change your password! 9

11 STEP 1 Click on Baselines Fill in the information about the systems currently in the home and local utility rates. After baseline numbers are entered, click on the Weather link. 11

12 RUUD DESIGNSTAR PROPOSAL BUILDER STEP 2 Select the city nearest you from the drop-down menu and click the Choose City button. Next, click the Details link. After customizing the cover sheet of your proposal on the Details page, click Systems 12

13 STEP 3 Select the system category you desire. For a straight cool, click Cool. For heating equipment without ECM motors, click Heat. Any model number, capacity, or efficiency data entered will narrow the database search for the replacement system 13

14 RUUD DESIGNSTAR PROPOSAL BUILDER STEP 4 When the system you desire is found, click the + sign to the left to move that system up to the calculation box Click the accessory list from the drop-down menu to add accessories 14

15 STEP 5 Click the + sign to the left to add an accessory to your proposal. Accessories include t-stats, IAQ products, financing, and extended service agreements. If the system qualifies for tax credits, there is also an IRS tax form available. Next, click the Economics link 15

16 RUUD DESIGNSTAR PROPOSAL BUILDER STEP 6 Fill in all the necessary information about the new system cost, repair of existing system, loan info, system lifetime. DesignStar will automatically calculate estimated payments, monthly savings, and ROI. To see if there are local utility rebates available, click the Tax Credits, Rebates, and Incentives link 16

27 As the consumer slides the cost adjustment sliders to actual monthly heating and cooling costs, the Potential Yearly Savings numbers will automatically change After pinpointing monthly utility costs, the consumer fills out name and info and downloads a proposal Super Sprocket Feature Process The consumer downloads a proposal from the contractor s website The contractor is notified when a consumer has downloaded a proposal and also receives a copy of that information The consumer information is located under the RuudDesignStar.com account of the contractor under the Leads link 27

28 RUUD DESIGNSTAR SUPER SPROCKET FEATURE From the Super Sprocket Tab, the Leads link will display all lead information for leads generated from a contractor s website. This contact information is provided by the homeowner before a proposal is downloaded. Ruud DesignStar provides contractor users with a complete list of generated lead information 28

29 Ruud DesignStar Super Sprocket Process Review Consumer clicks the Get Proposal link and can leave contact information ( , phone number, or both) The downloaded proposal is sent to the consumer s inbox Simultaneously, the contractor receives an notification that a consumer has downloaded a proposal and receives the same proposal as an attachment The contractor can view all leads generated on his RuudDesignStar.com account, under the Super Sprocket tab/leads Contractor makes contact with the consumer by the method selected by the consumer An appointment is scheduled.
