Lenora received her B.B.A. degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She received her J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. Lori Lamoreaux Dallas practices in the area of civil defense litigation and arbitration with an emphasis on ERISA and employee benefits, insurance defense, and coverage disputes. Lori received her B.S. degree, with honors, from Michigan State University and her J.D. degree, with high honors, from the University of North Carolina. Jennifer Rogers Austin focuses her practice primarily on the regulatory needs of builders, developers, and operators in the long-term care industry. She also regularly represents licensed health care professionals before their respective licensing agencies. 2 jw 2 Connects with Clients and the Community Jackson Walker Women (jw 2 ) continues its mission to build strong networks for women professionals, including Jackson Walker attorneys as well as firm clients and friends. To bring women together, jw 2 has hosted and participated in several events around the state over the past year. In October, Jackson Walker attorneys and clients gathered for a weekend of classes, networking, and activities at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose, Texas. Activities included fly fishing lessons, pool-side spa treatments, a ranch tour, a cooking class, and an evening by the campfire. 2 In Austin, jw sponsored its second annual Mardi Gras Fête Pour Femmes. Austin attorneys also attended the UT Women s Law Caucus Wine about the Law reception, which the firm co-sponsored. JW attorneys and clients relax by the pool at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose, Texas. 2 Austin jw members participated in The Women s Resource Fair for the second year in a row. About 15 partners and associates participated in the event by volunteering at the Fair or preparing gift bags in the office for the women attending the Fair. Dallas attorneys, clients, and friends of the firm gathered for a private cooking class at Central Market in March. Dallas attorneys also participated in an arts and crafts outing, where attorneys were paired with children from non-profit organization The Family Place to make oversized mosaic tile letters, which now decorate the hallways of The Family Place. Houston attorneys attended a charity event benefitting Eye for the Kids, a non-profit organization that provides eye glasses and exams for children in need. jw2 hosted San Antonio attorneys and guests who enjoyed an evening of manicures and martinis at a local spa. 3 Kathleen LaValle Named to Women to Watch The Dallas Business Journal (DBJ) recently named Jackson Walker partner Kathleen LaValle to its 2009 list of Top 25 Women to Watch. New for 2009, the Top 25 Women to Watch award is given to those who have demonstrated leadership in their companies or professions and in giving back as well as whose achievements make them excellent role models. Kathleen will be honored at the DBJ s Women in Business awards luncheon on July 16, 2009, and she will be featured in an upcoming DBJ issue. Kathleen has handled a wide range of complex litigation at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts, including the areas of antitrust, banking and lender liability, libel and slander, securities fraud, business tort, oil and gas, intellectual property, toxic tort and environmental, and employment discrimination. She has been actively involved in high-profile state regulatory dockets involving both the telecommunications and energy industries. With each changing trend in complex commercial litigation and high stakes regulatory disputes, Kathleen has played a significant role in defining the applicable law, shaping the appropriate procedures, and developing winning strategies. She is a past-chair of the Texas State Bar Antitrust and Business Litigation Section and a past- President of the Dallas CASA Board of Directors. Kathleen received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. She received her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. Following law school, she clerked for the Hon. Robert Madden Hill, Northern District of Texas. Kathleen heads the Jackson Walker women s initiative, jw 2. Retta Miller Named a Top Business Defense Lawyer Jackson Walker partner Retta Miller has been named one of the Dallas Business Journal s (DBJ) 2008 Top Business Defense Lawyers. The list appeared in the June 13, 2008, edition of the DBJ. Selections for the list were made solely by the DBJ editorial department after interviewing lawyers, judges, and general counsels across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The DBJ considered reputation, recent successes, and other professional qualifications. Ms. Miller has more than 23 years of experience representing clients in civil litigation, arbitration, and appeals. She has extensive trial experience, having served as lead counsel in over 25 trials and arbitrations that were tried to conclusion. She focuses her practice on the representation of retail brokerage firms and other financial institutions. Ms. Miller received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Oklahoma State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University. Ms. Miller received the Athena Award, which recognizes women who excel in their profession, serve their community, and assist other women in realizing their full leadership potential. She was also recognized for her pro bono work and received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award and the Meritorious Pro Bono Service Award for her work with North Texas Legal Services. Ms. Miller received the Oklahoma State University College of Human Environmental Sciences Hall of Fame Award as well as the Distinguished Alumna Award and was named a Women s Enterprise Woman of Excellence. Ms. Miller serves on Jackson Walker s Management Committee.

4 Ginger Webber Honored Twice in Her Community Jackson Walker senior counsel Ginger Webber recently received recognition from both the Fort Worth and Tarrant County YWCA and the Fort Worth Business Press (FWBP). The YWCA honored Ginger as a 2009 Woman in Business at its 13th Annual Tribute to Women in Business, and the FWBP named Ginger to its Under 40 list. The Tribute to Women in Business event gives local businesses and organizations the opportunity to honor women who have made a significant contribution to their companies and the community. It also honors companies for providing opportunities for women to achieve their full potential and raises funds to support YWCA Fort Worth and Tarrant County programs. The FWBP 40 under 40 list honors select men and women under the age of 40 who are helping to shape the future through their business and community involvement. These men and women are leaders today and are sure to be part of the next generation that will make Tarrant County a great place to live and work. Ginger focuses her practice on commercial real estate leasing, financing transactions, and purchase and sale transactions. She prepares documentation in relation to commercial office building leases and retail leases. She also engages in the negotiation of leases representing both landlords and tenants across the nation. She negotiates and drafts purchase and sale agreements, and she handles other aspects of purchases and sales of commercial office buildings, raw land, retail centers, and restaurant sites. Her experience also extends to advising property managers on tenant relations issues. Ginger has been named a Top Attorney by Fort Worth, Texas magazine. She earned both her B.A. and J.D. degrees, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University. While in law school, she was an Associate Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review. Suzan Kedron Named to 40 Under 40 Jackson Walker partner Suzan Kedron was recently named to the Dallas Business Journal s 40 Under 40 list. The 40 Under 40 list includes 40 men and women under the age of 40 from around the D-FW metroplex who are making a name for themselves in business and their communities. As a partner in the Land Use & Municipal Law practice group, Suzan represents real estate developers, land owners, and public entities in a variety of land use and real estate development issues. Her practice focuses on the following issues: zoning, planning, due diligence, economic development incentives, tax increment financing, and litigation. Suzan was named one of the Best Lawyers Under 40 by D Magazine, and in 2005, she was selected as one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine. In 2008, Suzan was named One to Watch in commercial real estate by D CEO magazine, a recognition given to up-and-coming thirty-somethings called as tomorrow s brightest lights in Dallas commercial real estate industry.

Speakers included The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, and Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh.
