1 Curriculum vitae et studiorum RAFFAELLA FOLGIERI Research interests Member of Italian Society of Engineering and of SIREN (Italian Neural Networks Society), she has published her research in several journal articles (main fields of interests: Brain Computer Interaction; Bioinformatics; Machine Learning and A.I.; learning and e-learning; Virtual Reality; Quality assessment in complex software development). Application fields: Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, co-adaptive systems, Learning Disorders, Machine Learning and A.I., Virtual Reality, Cultural Heritage. Her work explores some of the central issues in cognitive research such as how people move from skilled performance to problem solving, how a person learns, manages errors, interprets visual stimuli, and communicates, with a special focus on learning disorders and dyslexia. Her purpose is to explore everything is related to humans brain and cognition, starting from an artificial reproduction of individuals behavior and abilities, to investigate the influences that technology may have on life, cognition and the human mind. The project aims to create a sound-based stimuli database to evoke specific mental states useful to terapeutic and didactical scopes. The main objective is to estabilish a correlation among mental states and EEG parameters to elicit feelings and reactions in autistic children. Since February 2014: Gaetano and Mafalda Luce, Milan. The project aims to realize, in a job placing perspective, actions finalized to the acquisition of competencies to achieve the best possible levels of autonomy and social interaction for individuals with the Asperger syndrome. The final outcome should be the creation of training virtual environments reproducing real job situations.
