4 FALL 2015 Humor: A Centerpiece of American Popular Culture, with Joseph Boskin Tuesdays, October 13 and 20 10:30 a.m. Noon GSU Conference Auditorium 775 Commonwealth Ave., 2 nd Floor This lecture presented by Joseph Boskin, professor emeritus of history in BU s College of Arts & Sciences, will be a two-tiered series featuring humor as a central theme in American culture. The essential focus will be on peoples humor illustrated by routines and riffs from humorists and comedians. 5 AUDITING A COURSE Boston University offers hundreds of courses on fascinating topics, taught by world-renowned scholars and any person 58 or older may register to audit BU classes, becoming part of a rich exchange of knowledge. The last day to add classes is September 16, For auditing fees, consult the enclosed Registration Form or visit bu.edu/evergreen/auditing. Evergreen students are responsible for any course related fees, such as applied music, technology, or lab fees, etc. Step-by-step auditing instructions: 1. Choose a course. Visit bu.edu/reg and select Registration, then Class Schedule. 2. Complete the enclosed Auditing Registration Form. 3. Attend the first class to obtain the instructor s signature (required). Acceptance is at the discretion of the instructor, on a spaceavailable basis. 4. Submit the signed form with payment to the Evergreen office (755 Commonwealth Avenue, Suite B18) during the Fall 2015 registration periods: September 2 3, 8 10, a.m. 3 p.m. Please note: No forms will be accepted after the registration period.
