3 Overview: The Extra Credit LOC application is designed to provide members/customers with an automatic line of credit. The line of credit when a member/customer has held a specific checking minor for a specified amount of time with no NSF fees. Upon meeting these requirements the application automatically builds an active line of credit with a default limit determined by the particular checking minor type. The application provides the benefit of providing a value added product to checking accounts without pulling a member/customer s credit history and without manual entry in DNA or a 3 rd party lending application. Key Benefits: Provide added value to your checking products Save processing time for both loan representatives and members/customers by automating the loan creation process Provide a line of credit based on checking account history rather than credit rating Processing: OSI DNACreator application called BatchStartDNAapp must be installed in DNA first. Then the user must login to DNA and run the BatchStartDNAapp from Batch > Run Queues > Batch Start DNAapp. Once that is done, install the Extra Credit LOC application. The SQT should be set up to run using the normal queue setup. To be able to run the application, both authorizations of CoreAPI 7719 and the Extra Credit LOC Upd Auth need to be added to the user. The user must provide all the required parameters listed on the Parameters section. The only parameter that is optional is the Appworx NetworkNodeNbr. This is the assigned network node number to use when running the application in Appworx. The Extra Credit LOC application identifies the checking minors specified in the Include Minor(s) parameter where the account s Contract Date to Post Date equals to the Number of Days parameter plus one day. The application also identifies if there are any checking accounts that were converted to the minors specified in the Include Minor(s) parameter from StartDate parameter to ThruDate parameter, where the account s Contract Date to Post Date is greater than the Number of Days parameter. After identifying the checking accounts, if the account does not have any NSF fees within the days specified in the Number of Days parameter, then an active line of credit with a default limit determined by the Minor Code : Credit Limit parameter will be created for the member/customer. Authorization needs to be granted to users who will be running the Extra Credit LOC Application. 1. If the application is going to be used by a small number of employees, you may elect to use the "auth" created in the script as follows: Go into Security module Search for employee Select Assign Authorizations tab Extra Credit LOC 8

9 Authorizations available are on left, and assigned ones are on right. The Extra Credit LOC Upd Auth would show up on left. They should be selected (moved to right) and processed 2. If the application is going to be used by one or more already established classes of employees (e.g. BatchOperators) then there is already an existing Auth that represents the class of employees. Using this Auth, and the AuthItem code for Extra Credit LOC Application, assign the newly created AuthItem into this Auth. Go into Security module, then Authorizations menu Search for the Auth that represents the class of employees Select the Authorization Item Maintenance tab Authorization Items available are on left, and assigned ones are on right. The CAPR 7719, Extra Credit LOC Upd AuthItem would show up on left.
