First, three new emphasis areas were created (CMT, ACV, and LMT). Then course overlap between emphasis areas was studied to maximize our resources, The structure of the program was also changed in response to our industry needs: we moved from Thesis option to coursework only option. In response to these changes, the objectives and measures have been changed for Attention Needed We definitely need to improve the data retrieval process for exit surveys and alumni surveys. This has been difficult at the graduate level since many students have gotten jobs prior to graduation and never fill out the surveys. We are looking at reformatting the delivery of the MSET degree to an executive format in order to keep more students in school while they work. ANNUAL REPORT Executive Summary The School of Construction continues to place Master of Science in Engineering Technology (MSET) students into jobs with good incomes. The addition of three new emphasis areas has helped clarify program paths within the masters degree: these areas are Construction Management and Technology (CMT), Architecture and Construction Visualization (ACV) and Logistics Management and Technology (LMT). 14 The School of Construction continues to place Master of Science in Engineering Technology (MSET) students into jobs with good incomes. The addition of three new emphasis areas has helped clarify program paths within the masters degree: these areas are Construction Management and Technology (CMT), Architecture and Construction Visualization (ACV) and Logistics Management and Technology (LMT). The graduate program has undergone extensive revision this past year and has shifted from a thesis option to coursework option in response to industry needs. The faculty excel at delivery the necessary knowledge and skills (despite the challenge of assessment reporting) that industry demands. Under discussion is a proposal to modify all graduate offerings to an executive format (rather than being fully online, we believe we should meet the grad students for some amount of time in person but allow the majority of work be conducted online). Faculty continue to be very productive in research and service. The primary challenges have been finding (and keeping) faculty with good industrial experience AND appropriate credentials to qualify for graduate status.
