All calls, voice, data, video are controlled dynamically thanks to a Quality of Service mechanism allowing to prioritize and pre-empt resources according to users and groups priorities. Management Thales offers tools for network management (monitoring, dispatcher and configuration) to reduce complexity for the operator and accelerate system deployment. The system also enables interconnection to an existing Command and Control center. Fleet management solutions enable terminal configuration, over-the-air software upgrades and real-time application downloads ensuring the users are always up to date with the right set of applications. Terminals TeSquad is Thales professional LTE smartphone delivering Mission-Critical broadband applications in a ruggedized form-factor. It integrates multiple LTE frequency bands for Public Safety and commercial networks, has a large capacity battery for extended use, is protected against dust and water intrusion up to IP67, has a large touchscreen that can be operated with gloves and has 2 cameras. Our portfolio also includes multi vendors Android based handsets and tablets, light vehicular terminals with enhanced radio coverage. Security Thales has a long-standing history of providing the highest level of communications security, recently with the Thales TEOPAD security solution for tablets and smartphones. Applications are secured by cyphering data into a safe container (on the phone). Access to the applications environment is protected by a strong user authentication based on a configurable PIN code, a security token and a hardware security element. Communications are encrypted with end-to-end AES 256 bit keys. Fixed Infrastructure In order to optimize the coverage and the capacity of a deployment (urban or rural), Thales offers a large suite of LTE base stations from low power (~500mW) small cells to high power (~60W) macro cells. This diversity allows optimizing the cost of deploying the technology. For dense environments, coverage can be automatically adjusted by an advanced antenna system. Field deployable Solutions To meet user requirements for mobility, Thales provides compact ruggedized solutions (easy to carry/setup with few people) equipped with LTE and/or SATCOM capabilities. For fast responses we provide autonomous System on Wheels (SOW) solutions for command post installation or integration into customers vehicles. Edge Centric Core network Our unique resilient, fallback mode guaranties full service availability on each base station, overcoming the need for a centralized server. Functions comply with 3GPP standards. Our unique all-in-one compact box can handle either a fully distributed or a semi-distributed architecture ranging from one to many resilient sites. This cost effective solution allows an organization to grow its LTE network according to its needs and budget. Interoperability Thales offers a deep interoperability between TETRA and LTE, notably thanks to the use of a single dispatch system that simplifies the life for operators.
