RESEARCH INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES My research interests belong to the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning in the Semantic Web (OWL, DL and Rule-based reasoning), Semantic Web Service management (description, discovery, composition) and context-aware multi-sensor reasoning and fusion in Pervasive Environments. In specific, I have worked/i am still working on the following topics: OWL ontology reasoning systems based on object-oriented production rule engines (CLIPS, Drools). Combination of production rule engines and DL reasoning systems. Efficient algorithms for Semantic Web Service discovery and composition using production rules engines.
