GoldKey Product Info Detailed Product Catalogue for GoldKey Do not leave your Information Assets at risk Read On...
GoldKey: Reinventing the Security Strategy The Changing Landscape of Data Security With massive amounts of information transferred and processed every day, protecting sensitive data has become more critical than ever, and more difficult to achieve. Traditionally, standard security programs are used to limit access to files or directories, and passwords are trusted to keep data safe. This singular approach to security leaves businesses open to serious risk. Security and Accessibility: A Common Trade-off Since the beginning of digital data storage, the challenge has existed to balance security with accessibility. If security is "too loose," data is compromised. If security is "too tight," the user often ends up unintentionally locked out of his own data. An Independent Layer of Security With the growing demand to make sensitive and financially-critical data available online, the time has come to reinvent the entire security strategy. What is needed today is a system that retains the best of software-based server security, with the addition of a completely independent hardwarebased security envelope. Introducing GoldKey Security GoldKey is unlike any predecessor technology and has taken data security and accessibility to a new level. This Internet-enabled, enterprise-ready platform provides worldwide secure data storage and access with an easyto-use hardware access framework. GoldKey has taken on the cloud computing security problems and the limitations of PKI in the distributed enterprise.
How GoldKey Works Multiple Layers of Security What makes GoldKey Secure Storage so effective is the combination of multi-factor authentication, symmetric encryption, and a hardware-based key management system that makes the user interface intuitive and powerful. Even though it utilizes strong AES encryption, it is easier to navigate than conventional alternatives without encryption. GoldKeyVaults and GoldKey Tokens GoldKey Secure Storage isolates groups of files into secure containers called GoldKeyVaults. Each vault is owned by one user, but read only or read/write access can be given to groups of users. After loading the software, anytime a GoldKey token is inserted into the USB port of any computer connected to the Internet, a list appears with all the GoldKeyVaults owned by the user. Transparent Data Access and Management The GoldKeyVault Explorer with transparent encryption makes the task of moving files in or out of vaults transparent and as simple as though they were not encrypted. When the GoldKey is removed from the machine, the list of vaults vanishes. When another user inserts a GoldKey, a new list is displayed. Even though GoldKeyVaults are accessed over the Internet, the functionality and response is crisp due largely to special GoldKey developed software technology which greatly reduces the number of reads required for tasks as simple as changing directories. Hierarchical Security Protocol (HSP) For information to be sent securely over the Internet, it must be encrypted on the sending end and decrypted on the receiving end. This works as long as both sides know a shared secret or cipher to be used as the encryption key. In the "real" world, however, users wishing to communicate securely are separated by vast distances and do not have a pre-arranged secret to use for encryption. Current technologies such as PKI utilize asymmetric keys, whereby a secure communication can be achieved without a shared secret. However, asymmetric algorithms require more computational power and are therefore typically hundreds to thousands of times slower than symmetric key algorithms. The breakthrough, patent pending GoldKey Hierarchical Security Protocol (HSP), allows the secure utilization of symmetric keys, facilitating fast and secure data encryption/decryption for Internet communications.
Two factor Authentication for Active Directory Active Directory is a powerful Microsoft tool for network administrators to manage hundreds of computers and users in a central system. Maintaining the balance of usability and security is critical for administrators, but with only a classic user name and password method of authentication, companies and users are at serious risk of attacks. Two-Factor Authentication with No Additional Software GoldKey works seamlessly with Active Directory to add two-factor authentication and a more robust security solution, without the need for additional software. GoldKey Minidriver Makes Integration Seamless The GoldKey minidriver enables users to integrate GoldKey's smart card token with the Windows architecture for two-factor authentication. The minidriver supports the standard Microsoft Crypto APIs (CAPI) for easy integration with existing PKI applications. Also supported is the next generation Cryptography APIs (CNG) for advanced security such as elliptical curve cryptography (ECC). GoldKey Enterprise Active Directory Evaluation Package For customers looking to add two-factor authentication in Active Directory, GoldKey offers this special evaluation package. (3) Duplicate GrandMaster GoldKey Tokens (2) Master GoldKey Tokens (10) GoldKey Tokens GoldKey Minidriver Toll Free Installation Support for Active Directory -(90 Days) Storage of up to 24 certificates with private keys on the GoldKey Token Support for certificate enrollment using the standard Windows Crypto APIs Active Directory login, locally and over Remote Desktop Multiple certificate uses: signing, EFS, BitLocker, SSL/TLS authentication Supported key types: RSA-1024, RSA-2048, ECC P256, and ECC P384 ECC is not supported on older versions of Windows Windows 7 / Vista / XP Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2003
Multi-factor Security and Authentication for Websites and Online Applications The GoldKey Secure Portal provides businesses with a simple way to incorporate a secure, multi-factor login and authentication process to websites online applications. With military-grade 256-bit AES encryption and a mutual-authentication technique Directory developed by GoldKey Security Corporation, companies can easily defeat man-in-the-middle attacks and password brute-force attempts. Protect Online Activity with One Secure Portal A single, rack-mounted Secure Portal is capable of securing logins for websites and online applications. The Portal also gives administrators a centralized interface to disable user accounts or lock out tokens that have been lost or stolen, making it a security must-have for any critical online application. Add Fast Multi-Factor Authentication Integrating a Secure Portal into your existing systems and adding multi-factor security to your online applications is easy and efficient. When a website or application requires authentication, the user is automatically redirected to the Secure Portal login. The Portal is then asked for the status of the sign-in attempt. Once the user has authenticated with the Portal using their GoldKey Token and PIN, the online application is given the ID of the user's GoldKey, which is used to access their account information. Secure login happens in a matter of seconds. The GoldKey Secure Portal multi-factor login supports multiple uses, such as: ecommerce Transactions Online Banking Government Universities And More Did You Know? A GoldKey Secure Portal can be implemented quickly and easily to provide multi-factor security and encrypted logins for websites or online applications.
Powerful Data Security that is Easy to Use GoldKey Secure Drives are designed to provide a simple solution for a very complex issue. For any security to be effective, the user must be able to quickly and easily protect the data. This is the primary reason passwords have been the most common method to secure folders and files, but using software-based security alone leaves a company open to brute-force attacks and data theft. Automatic 256-bit AES Encryption Files placed within a GoldKey Secure Drive are automatically encrypted as you use them, providing the fastest and easiest security possible for your critical data. On-the-fly 256-bit AES encryption of all folders and files within the Secure Drive. Secure Drives are displayed in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder like any flash drive for quick viewing and access. When a Secure Drive is locked, the drive letter disappears making files inaccessible without the correct GoldKey token and PIN. Prevent Data Loss Secure Drives with On-the-Fly Encryptionfor Websites and Online Data security can be a real challenge, particularly for organizations tasked with guarding highly-confidential information. Government Applications entities, financial institutions, Directory educational institutions and other organizations with extremely sensitive data trust GoldKey Secure Drives to keep their private data private. GoldKey uses a three-tier Hierarchal Key Management System to prevent accidental lockouts or data loss. Because Goldkey Tokens are first registered to a Master Token, users and administrators never have to worry about losing data due to a forgotten password or a lost or stolen token. Works with Existing Media and Security Systems GoldKey Secure Drives can be used in addition to your other security systems, such as passwords, and can be stored on almost any media. Wherever your data is stored - flash drives, local hard disks, CD-ROMs, network shares, tape backups - Secure Drives provide strong encryption with the addition of secure multi-factor authentication. GoldKey Secure Drives work with your existing systems to provide private storage, add automatic encryption and prevent data loss.
