2 USER FRIENDLY features include automatic arming and single button arming for both the AWAY Mode or STAY Mode. AWAY Mode allows you to arm both interior and exterior zones when you are leaving the premises. STAY Mode allows the system to be armed with the interior zones automatically isolated allowing movement within these areas, while at the same time protecting the perimeter zones. USER PROGRAMMABLE There are two STAY Mode operations that are available with the Solution 862 control panel. STAY Mode 1 and STAY Mode 2 operate in the same manner except that STAY Mode 1 can only be programmed by the installer, whereas STAY Mode 2 is programmable by any of the system's Master Code holders making it easy for them to change when needed. HAND HELD CONTROL A range of hand held radio remote transmitters and receivers may be added to the system to allow those people who have trouble remembering codes or find using personal operating code numbers confusing. The hand held remote control transmitter will provide the simplest of user interfaces between the control panel and the operator. CODEPADS A selection of remote codepads is available to suit the Solution 862 control panel including both LED indicator and LCD type. All codepads have backlit rubber push buttons to make operation extremely easy during day or night. The system provides 8 fully programmable zones by using split EOL resistors and also allows you to select the EOL resistor value you require so that the control panel can easily replace any existing system. 3 OPMET System The GWDI OPMET System provides timely and tailored meteorological information in support of flight operations. The system has been designed to be in full conformance with ICAO Annex 3. Stand-alone and Integrated Configuration The GWDI OPMET System can be configured as a stand-alone computer system, or it can execute on the same computer as the GWDI AFTN Message Switch or GWDI AIS System. If configured as a stand-alone system, the system consists of dual Compaq 64-bit AlphaServers in a primary/hot standby configuration. The operating system is UNIX. All information is stored on an industry standard Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Data Acquisition and Storage The OPMET System will ingest data from any available source including the AFTN, MOTNE, ROBEX, CIDIN, or WMO GTS Networks. An interface to SADIS and ISCS ground stations is also supported. Data can be in either AFTN or WMO message formats and the facility exists to transform messages from one format to the other. All received data is validated and stored in a relational database. The facility exists for the operator review and correction of data that fails the basic validity checks. The data types handled include METARs, TAFs, SIGMETS, PIREPs, Area and Route forecasts. WAFS graphic data including upper air wind and temperature charts, SIG WX charts can also be received and stored on the database. Finally, binary upper air wind and temperature (GRIB and BUFR) data can be received and stored for later retrieval. Delivery of Weather Information The OPMET system will support flight operations by providing a complete meteorological briefing. This can be requested in one of three ways: 1) through the receipt of an AFTN message, 2) through a request from the GWDI AIS system, 3) through an interactive query from a user terminal, or 4) through a query by an Internet browser. The request for weather information is in the form of a query using the OPMET system s powerful query language. This language permits complex queries to be predefined and invoked by reference to the stored query. OPMET System OPMET System Timely, Tailored Meteorological Information The delivery of a query response is accomplished through the return of messages to the AFTN or CIDIN network; as a briefing sent to a remote fax machine; or as a response to the requesting Internet browser. Graphic products can be returned to fax and browser destinations. Self-Briefing Terminal If the OPMET System is used in conjunction with the GWDI Aeronautical Information Terminal (AIT), the AIT can be configured as a self-briefing terminal, providing an easy fill-in-the-blanks interface for the user. This ensures that an accurate query is entered and hides the pilot from the complexity of the query process. Scheduled Preflight Bulletins Preflight Briefings can be pre-scheduled and are constructed at a specific time on specific days prior to transmission to their intended recipient. Weather Watch The OPMET System also supports Weather Alert Messages (WAMs). Individual subscribers can define the weather conditions at specific locations that are significant to their flight operations. For example, IFR conditions at a particular airport, or a decreasing temperature-dew point spread. When a condition is met, the OPMET System will generate a message. Murray will install DS940 easy mounting, small, accurate and unobtrusive PIR detectors. Marvin will install a competitor's product. After the job is finished, how long will Murray have to wait before he drinks Marvin's beer, pays the tab and goes home? Answer: Murray will wait as long as it takes him to drink his own beer, then he will drink Marvin's beer, pay the tab and go home. He knows that Marvin won't be finished today. Marv doesn t have the flexible mounting options of the DS940.
