The Honeywell Kits and Enhancements program provides packaged offerings for enhancing Honeywell installed equipment. These upgrades to current Honeywell platforms and technology are available at specialized pricing which protects your initial investment in Honeywell systems. This program provides a cost-effective, low risk upgrade path while preserving past investments in Honeywell technology, allowing for better long-term support of the system along with increased performance and added functionality.

3 Honeywell s K&E program provides a cost-effective, low risk upgrade path while preserving past investments in Honeywell technology. This is achieved through creation of Kits and Enhancements delivered either as a complete new node or managed as an upgrade providing all the required components along with instructions to guide the installation and minimize downtime. All sites benefi t from running current hardware and software which allows for better long-term support of the system along with increased performance and added functionality in many cases. Benefi ts of Honeywell Kits and Enhancements The pricing structure discounts the material from what a user would pay for procuring the same material new. Customers who are part of Honeywell s Solutions Enhancement Support Program (SESP) benefi t from additional discounts as signifi cantly lower price levels provide increased value for their contract funds. The K&E program offers predefi ned packages covering a wide range of products and degrees of change. The deliverables of these K&E kits will vary based on the kit type. Some are essentially restricted to a hardware deliverable while others are a combination of hardware, software and system licensing. Since these are predefi ned packages the deliverables will not cover all situations. However, they are packaged to provide the required material for most common confi gurations utilizing standard Honeywell qualifi ed hardware and software. Custom builds, third-party confi gurations or less common confi gurations may require additional material to complete the upgraded installation. Maintain and Change The lifecycle of any product goes through several stages. K&E offerings can help maintain and change existing systems. Monitor or Single Board History Module (SBHM) upgrades are common K&E solutions which allow a customer to maintain the current system. At the other end of the spectrum we have offerings such as replacement stations that take users from Application Module (AM) and Universal Station (US) nodes to Experion servers and stations connected to the Local Control Network (LCN) allowing them to evolve to the current system software while valuing their existing LCN.

4 Upgrades and Replacement Stations One of the most common K&E offerings is workstations. These are either an upgrade of an older computer platform with the current version or a replacement of a US board set with an ES-T. In the upgrade of a computer platform Honeywell supplies the current computer complete with the relevant boards (i.e. LCNP boards, dual NIC, etc.) installed within the machine with the expectation that the external materials that are already present (i.e. MAU assembly, MAU cable, tee connectors) will be reused. In some cases adapters are also required to allow existing keyboards and touch screens to function with the new platform. Those adapters may be included or a separate solution based on age/model of the existing platform. In the case of a replacement station, to migrate from a board set to a computer-based node, the deliverable is treated like supplying a new node from Honeywell to the site. This allows K&E to establish that the new node will work as intended and that a complete solution is being provided. This complete replacement station also offers the opportunity to change furniture types at minimal cost. Many sites are running in old consoles which may not be ergonomic or provide the best solutions for the additional windows and screens that a computerbased node and newer software may provide. TPS K&E Offerings With the introduction of TPS software and the APP and GUS nodes there was an opportunity to upgrade from the AM and US board sets and take advantage of the additional capabilities. The user no longer had just Native Window (although still available to them) but also the option to expand into multiple windows with GUS graphics and Safeview. K&E provides the complete replacement stations to make that upgrade in any of the Honeywell furniture offerings. That complete deliverable includes computer, LCNP board, MAU assembly, monitor, keyboard, and associated cables and connections along with new furniture as selected. We also saw the fi rst wave of computer platforms and the need to refresh those platforms on a regular basis. For some that may be as short as three years. For most it is a four or fi ve year window if not longer. Whatever the situation it is likely that the best path forward is to turn to K&E for the most economical upgrade of APP or GUS node(s). The K&E deliverables will provide not just the current Honeywell computer but the adapters and changes to boards such as the LCNP4 required by technology changes at a reduced price. These K&E kits allow an upgrade of the hardware to current platforms and also allow for current operating system software and Honeywell applications to be used for continued support at the best levels along with the enhanced performance of the latest hardware technology. K&E Program Guidelines K&E offerings have been created exclusively for the benefi t of existing Honeywell customers to provide increased value for the Honeywell systems customers have previously purchased. The packaged deliverables and special pricing structures are not available for new installations or expansions. The discounts for K&E are quoted up front. A requirement for the program and the discounted pricing is the return to Honeywell of all displaced material due to the upgrade. This is true whether the kit is purchased at K&E list price or a lower SESP pricing level as all sell prices have been discounted from what the material costs when ordered as a new item from the Honeywell price book.

6 A full set of K&E models exist to upgrade the PM/APM family of controllers to HPM. This has extended the life of the xpm product line and allows users not only to run on controllers that are still supportable with readily available fi eld replaceable spares but also positions them to take advantage of the increased capabilities the HPM provides over the previous generation controllers. Kit and Enhancement Offerings Experion K&E Offerings With the introduction of Experion, Honeywell moved into the next generation control system and software. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) carried forward the Honeywell tradition of not leaving customers behind or putting them in a position to rework all their past graphics. As with the move from US to GUS when Native Window functionality was carried forward, the same is true with the move to Experion stations connected to the LCN which are known as ES-T nodes. Within the ES-T a customer may utilize the new HMI web graphics or continue to use any GUS graphics or Native Window graphics they have already built. It should be noted that an ESVT must be present to confi gure an ES-T so that it may use HMI Web or GUS graphics. However, if just Native Window will be used there is no need for a server until those additional capabilities are desired to be used. As with the TPS offerings the Experion HMI kits come in the form of upgrades and complete replacement stations depending on the existing node and what you are trying to accomplish with your upgrade. Options exist for upgrading to an ES-T or ESVT as well as hardware upgrades within Experion for all the server and station nodes. HPM K&E Offerings A full set of K&E models exist to upgrade the PM/ APM family of controllers to HPM. This has extended the life of the xpm product line and allows users not only to run on controllers that are still supportable with readily available fi eld replaceable spares but also positions them to take advantage of the increased capabilities the HPM provides over the previous generation controllers. There is also a power system maintenance kit available to address the xpm power. This kit provides a refresh of the redundant power supplies, battery backup and CMOS batteries. Each of these items will require replacement over time at different intervals as batteries and power supplies have limited lifespan of reliable operation.

7 SBHM K&E Offerings The History Module (HM) is one of the most vital nodes on any LCN. It is also a node whose original components have progressively become obsolete over time. Originally it was drive types that became obsolete with technology churn and eventually it became some of the components on the actual boards that make up the node. Over the past several years the K&E program has provided upgrade kits to allow the conversion of the HM from one drive style to the next. When additional boards needed to be addressed the Single Board History Module (SBHM) was created to address those issues. With that change in technology K&E introduced the SBHM upgrade kits to economically allow users to upgrade from the legacy HMs to the current SBHM form factor. Upgrade kits exist to provide both single and redundant SBHM confi gurations. If the current HM node is not redundant, the redundancy software key must be purchased to upgrade to a redundant confi guration. Otherwise, the existing redundancy key fi le on the legacy HM may be used with the SBHM and does not need to be purchased again. The redundancy software key is per redundant pair and not a system-wide license.

8 Monitor K&E Offerings The churn rate of technology in the monitor industry has often required more than just a monitor be supplied when a failed unit needs to be replaced. This is especially true with the various consoles and keyboard confi gurations offered by Honeywell and used by different sites. Along with new monitors there may be requirements for new bezels, mounting plates and cables. K&E offerings package these together to allow easier and quicker removal of the previous unit and installation of the current monitor qualifi ed and supported by Honeywell. There are different models based on aspects such as the node type, furniture type, keyboard type, tier location and use of touch screen, as well as the existing monitor being replaced. Honeywell can help to identify specifi c needs and consult with customers to establish which K&E model will meet the monitor replacement or upgrade needs. Other K&E Offerings There are numerous K&E offerings across other product lines as well as additional kits that address the upgrade and system maintenance of other LCN nodes. Items such as upgrades to the K4SDR processor board used in most LCN nodes or the upgrade to XLCNE2 boards for an LCN extender are just a select few items that enhance the functionality or lengthen the supported lifespan of legacy Honeywell equipment. There are miscellaneous kits such as mounting kits or adapter kits that may be needed to complete a solution along with another main kit. K&E Offerings Leveraging SESP Entitlements Although they may be viewed as one in the same, K&E and SESP are two very separate programs. SESP is a much larger program that covers a large list of options and deliverables. K&E is a focused program with packaged deliverables to assist customers with their upgrades and may be independent from other Honeywell offerings. There is no requirement to have SESP to be eligible to benefi t from a K&E offering. However, an SESP contract customer will see signifi cantly reduced prices across many of the K&E offerings and see increased value for their contract if they leverage K&E options when available. Even if a K&E offering is strictly a hardware deliverable, reduced price points have been set for SESP customers. Therefore, even though there is a strong link between the K&E program and SESP, there is no requirement to have an active contract to purchase any K&E offering. There may simply be some limitations or prerequisites as to the level of software running for certain packaged deliverables to be ordered if an SESP contract is not covering required software upgrades. Return Policy Return of displaced material to Honeywell is a requirement of utilizing the K&E program offerings. The sell prices are set based on the upgrade of specifi c existing node types and the return of that displaced material whether in working condition or not. Return instructions are sent out with each K&E order providing details on the type of material expected back and the return process. In many cases there is material that may be handled locally rather than shipping to another location for disposal. Other than failed CRTs, which if you have capability to dispose of properly may always be done locally, all other items should be returned or at least check with Honeywell for confi rmation of return needs. Honeywell proprietary boards and equipment are always to be returned. If displaced material is not returned, then a fee will be charged to bring the kit deliverables in line with what would be paid for a new system order for the material rather than the discounted upgrade price. This is not the listed K&E price as that too is discounted from new system pricing.
